A little more on the SDDP’s Congressional Candidate, Chris Martian

As noted by the FEC filing I posted last night, Democrats have a candidate for Congress in the form of Chris Martian, who is apparently coming out of nowhere to run for federal office. According to his twitter feed…

…. this appears to be the right Chris Martian. But, if we dig a little deeper into his twitter feed to find out who he is, and what he stands for politically, it sort of ends up being a NSFW place where he says the F word a lot, and doesn’t think much of seniors:

I’m not sure what to take from that, other than he apparently thinks retirees should not attend town halls, and the only people who matter live in Rapid City and Sioux Falls. I think Mr. Martian is going to find the election will be a long, long one.

Another quality candidate brought to you by Ann Tornberg’s South Dakota Democrat Party.

  1. Mr. Martian looks to fit in perfectly with the Kurtz, Heidelberger, Mentele wing of the SD Dem party. Profanity, insults, vile, abrasive, pot and assisted suicide.

  2. “Martian”, how fitting; he seems like he is from out space.

What exactly is he taking a stand against? Civility? Intelligence? Logic? Goodness? Or, as I suspect, all of the above?

I wish you no luck whatsoever, Marvin the Martian. Oh, wait, Marvin the Martian from the Looney Toons was actually a sympathetic, loveable character in a way, and this guy is neither.

  3. Now is the time for the reasonable South Dakota Democrats that are not extremists to start to regain control of the party and have primary challengers to those who have crippled the party like that guy up in Aberdeen that people can’t stand up there and this guy who will NOT be everyone’s favorite Martian.

  4. My football coach always told me excessive profanity indicates a lack of class and intelligence.

  5. He must be paying attention to this blog, since he has since changed his Twitter bio to include “But sometimes I swear”

  6. One Party swears, while the other Party swears to never hold a town hall meeting with adequate notice or at a central location…. Which one is truly much worse, I must ask?

    1. “They never hold town halls!”….

“They didn’t give us enough notice when they held a town hall!”…

“I don’t like where they held a town hall!”

      Hmmm…

    2. You sure have an axe to grind in public. Do you want to go out and shout “Go Bernie!” at Thune, Rounds, and Noem at the top of your lungs? Go ahead and support a scumbag like this Alien guy, and we’ll see how far your socialism gets.

  7. We’re careening off topic now. Keep it on the Dem’s favorite Martian, pease.
