      1. it is not close…

For Dems to win they have to be moderate to GOP lite and Seiler is full blown Liberal and not apologizing for it

  1. Hardest working candidate I have ever seen.

I also like how knowledgeable he is on the issues and he can go in-depth and not just talking points.

    1. Have you ever met Dusty Johnson, Shantel Krebs, Marty Jackley, Josh Haeder, Ryan Brunner or Steve Barnett? Those people have been doing it for a lot longer and a lot harder.

Not knocking anyone here but we have a slate of hard workers in the GOP.

      1. I have talked to many of the candidates you list and they ALL say Jason is the hardest worker…not a knock on anyone either…a compliment to Jason.

I would say Dusty is a close second and both these young guys are a class act and we should be proud to have them in our party.

Plus fresh energetic blood is good for the party

        1. Why would you say he doesn’t have a job? He clearly does and the only people who don’t have to quit their jobs when running for another office are self employed or already elected politicians switching offices.

  2. I wish he would debate seiler. I think JR would kick butt. I just can’t understand why he doesn’t do it. It’s frustrating.

      1. Jason agreed weeks ago….but seiler still whines….whines about state fair…sick of this guy already….Vote for Jason

  3. He said yesterday that he agreed to a pbs event right after the convention in October..maybe Seiler is all blow and doesn’t want to go….could Dems be lying to you…the heck you say

I mean it is easy to pick apart Seiler– anti gun, drag queen sponsor said he will pick and choose which laws he would enforce…which would not include waters of the us or Obama care…
Seiler gets crushed in a debate on issues

        1. Why would he have to defend against having anything to do with drag queens? Consenting adults can do what they want with themselves and it is neither your nor the government’s business. TL;DR: mind your business and chill with the sanctimony.

  4. Seller embraces all the Pelosi, Schumer, Sanders positions. Why doesn’t he leave South Dakota instead of trying to ruin it?

    1. I’m just surprised this race is close. Republicans should be putting this thing away with the registration advantage.

  5. This is not even a close race, Ravnsborg is the clear choice and winner in November. Thank goodness we have Ravnsborg as our republican candidate, the best choice for the position.

  6. It all comes down to how well you think that Billie will do. If he wins with 55+ % of the vote, then the constitutional races come into play. Historically, Democrats do not win constitutional races on their own, with the exception in modern times of Butler for Treasurer in ’94 and ’98 and some PUC races and an occassionally the office for School and Public Lands, however.

    1. JKC has a point. Billie seems likely get the most votes of any Democrat running statewide. He’s a nice guy. He’s rational. You don’t see him foaming at the mouth, screaming “abolish ICE! open borders!” as so many coastal leftists do. He doesn’t burn the American flag or chant “f— the police.” People oppose Sutton’s socialist donors and his party, not him personally. Therefore (as JKC opined) if Billie confounds expectations & wins big, other SD dems could win small. It could become a blue wave. On the other hand, if Sutton loses a close race, some less charismatic, down ballot dems will get smoked.

Under God, the people rule. To block a state-wide progressive takeover, to prevent huge tax increases, log off the internet and go vote. Time to step up. Straight ticket R.

      1. Sutton & the other Dems like him resonate with average South Dakotans. The crazy wing of the state Democrats don’t. They are like a fish out of water and have some type of mind block as to why they are rejected over and over and over and over…………………..

        1. Nearly every South Dakotan has common sense. We understand: the intelligent way to move forward & protect working families is NOT by transforming our state into Venezuela norte. Capitalism works.

          1. Venezuela is a result of a populist Hugo Chavez who did not have any type of grasp of history and made stuff up to push his agenda.

What has happened to Venezuela is not even close to the economies being a socialized democracy of Germany, Japan, Norway or other similar examples. Germany for being a little country is an economic export driven powerhouse of quality high precision, well engineered goods. It’s citizens get excellent benefits too as part of the package in return for higher taxation. Nothing is for free.

            1. We agree that Chavez is an idiot. Let’s agree our nation’s economy should become more like those of New Zealand, Singapore, and Switzerland. Let’s pray we steer as far as possible away from the disastrous policies adopted in Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela. Let’s hope the whole world disregards the suicidal theories advocated by Marx and Stalin.

      2. Sutton may be a nice guy and not foaming at the mouth, but he has yet to denounce the ‘Abolish Ice’, BLM, DSA, hate speech or pro-abort people. He doesn’t even mention them, why? Does he need their money, probably not. He doesn’t know how to tell the extreme left-wing people he’s not a supporter and that’s very telling.

Maybe the debates will force him to address where he stands.

        1. Solid points. Sutton must explicitly repudiate those destructive democrat factions. Planned Parenthood does not deserve a cent of taxpayer funding. The “abolish ICE” crowd = deeply misguided (at best). Our nation needs secure borders. We need entrepreneurship, innovation, and good jobs. We don’t need a state income tax.

          1. Anyone know why the potheads are all in for Sutton? That group that fails all the time in their the petition drives promotes Sutton.

  7. Well Billie is not winning with 55%+….

At best he wins a squeaker and Seiler is no Billie.

Billie has a personality and running trying to be too light…seiler is running as a liberal

    1. Does Senator Nelson have to claim Mr. Jones’ rent free cranial accommodations as an “in-kind” contribution? Asking for a friend.

      1. You flatter yourself. Its a close call between the how little I think of Nelson and how uninfluential his sychophants are.

The 8,500 votes Howie got, the 13,000 votes Nelson got, or the 24,000 votes Tapio got just keep getting the election day cheer “over-rated, over-rated” like we hear often at basketball games.

Or how they were going to beat all those legislative candidates while yours won? What did you go 0-9?

I am willing to wager who the winning Senate candidate who will have the worst ratio of Election Vote Percent/Legislative District Republican Registration Percent.
