A sans-mustache Secretary of State Chris Nelson is passing out candy and meeting people at the Gypsy Days parade in Aberdeen yesterday.

Even better – This photo allowed me a moment’s amusement at the hands of Badlands Blue for using the picture without asking..

sans mustache! much better, chris!

Noooooooo!

Come on, guys. If nothing else, I would think the GOP could use whiskers as a great anti-global warming statement. “This planet’s not getting hotter; look at that snow! We need whiskers to protect us from cap-and-trade and the coming Ice Age!”

But oh well. It’s Chris’s face. If he’s sick of being careful eating ice cream cones, that’s his business.

Looks much less like Kip from Napoleon Dynamite now.

What’s Gypsy Days?

What? Skipping D-Days?

In spite of what my grandpa used to say about facial hair, he needs to grow it back.

I think I remember that Bruce Whalen cut off his ponytail also. As long as they are true to themselves I don’t care but if it’s a pander it’s sad for them. Just be yourselves that is what people like!

The only thing I’ll be looking for is John Thune supporting our congressional candidates this time around! He didn’t support Whalen or Lien and he didn’t support Dykstra! That was dissapointing!

Well do you think Blake Curd will grow hair now? Maybe just a little Rogain or plugs? or will the toupee find a new head to nest on?

I want to know how Curd will trump this one…

Who does Chris have as a consultant? I’m sure that at the congressional level there has been some thought put into this move.

Does anyone knows what Curd’s true hairline is? Better a shaved gourd than a combover.

My goodness.

I don’t know you, yet, grudznick, but I love you!

Nelson and Munsterman also attended the SD Right to Life State convention in Mobridge later the same day and both addressed the crowd there. I didn’t even notice Chris had shaved his stache off; but then guys don’t usually give a hoot about those kinds of things.

Charlie –

Coincidentally, I’m just working on posting the footage of Scott’s Speech on his youtube page.

I think he should’ve kept the stache! That is a good looking stache!

Made him stand out!

Gee whiz I get up early to go thru a couple old WSJ’s, open up the WAR College to see what is happening politically and find my cover blown. But I still don’t see facial hair playing a role in any election. Just look at Trump and his chin hair getting pulled up and over his head with Ivana beside him. Yeah, I know, she left him for a cleaner and younger guy. IE–Chris does look good though, I won’t say better, just good! :)

Have you Republicans forgotten about Theodore Roosevelt? His mustahce made it on Mount Rushmore!

And Lincoln’s beard made it up there too.

I want to see John Thune grow a mustache! It’s just got me thinking now how he would look.

I would also like to see Dan Lederman and Todd Schlekeway give it a try. Maybe even Drake Olson.

I think it’s time for it to make a comeback!!!

I thought Chris looked different but I couldn’t put my finger on it. Let’s go Chris!!

Yeah, I’d like to see Tim Johnson with a mustache. And SHS? Alas, hers will come with time. As far as Chris Olson, I never would have recognized him in the picture if he hadn’t been identified.

Sorry, I meant Chris Nelson. Too many “son” names.
