Guess who Stephanie is hosting for dinner?
Remember this story from a couple of years ago? If I recall, I even blogged on it:
The secretary of state’s office has forwarded possible evidence to Attorney General Larry Long that at least two Democratic political action committees failed to report $55,000 in contributions from an out-of-state donor.
and…..
Nelson didn’t name the PACs, but he did say they are related to a controversy surrounding contributions made by the wife of a prominent Democratic politician in Minnesota.
Nelson’s office began looking into the matter in July after news reports in Minnesota linked the political contributions of Lois Quam, a wealthy businesswoman there, to at least two Democratic-controlled political action committees in South Dakota.
The contributions, made in 2003, were allegedly funneled through the PACs to the South Dakota Democratic Party. The state party then sent most of the money back to the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party in Minnesota. Documents faxed anonymously to Minnesota reporters purportedly show that the money ended up in a DFL campaign committee controlled by Matt Entenza, Quam’s husband.
Entenza is the minority leader in the Minnesota House. Last month, he withdrew from the Minnesota attorney general’s race after admitting to hiring a firm to research Mike Hatch, Minnesota’s current attorney general and a DFL candidate in this year’s governor’s race.
Okay, so out of state PAC’s funneling money through SD Democratic PAC’s on behalf on a disgraced Minnesota big money democrat who used dirty tricks to go after an opponent.
Fast forward 4 years later, and guess who’s hosting the bad actor in this saga for dinner?
Several well known politicians, including Senators Evan Bayh (IN), Tim Johnson (SD), Byron Dorgan (ND) and Kent Conrad (ND), hosted a fundraiser for Matt Entenza’s campaign for governor last night in Washington D.C.
The host list also included DFL Rep. Keith Ellison, Rep. Earl Pomeroy, Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin, Rep. Ron Kind and former DNC Chairs Terry McAuliffe and Joe Andrew.
Johnson and Herseth Sandlin hosting a fundraiser for a politician who will seemingly do anything to win.
It should surprise no one.

You know I am really becoming a believer of Chris Nelson in the race for Congress.
I was initially a Curd supporter but he seems to be running flat… I never hear anything about him… see him doing anything or read about him in the papers… I don’t know maybe it is early but that announcement really made me question whether he understands political campaigns.
I just can’t believe someone with as much credibility as Curd would enter the race with such a dud of an announcement. (no media) If Curd wants to win he needs to change the people he is listening to cause they are not helping his cause…
I guess flat out I like the passion the people Chris Nelson is surrounding himself with have. Chris has passion himself.
I think Chris is quickly becoming the best candidate in the race.
The greatest thing Herseth has going for her is that Thune and Rounds think it’s better to be nice than call her out and hold her accountable for the bad votes she’s made.
Stop bashing only Obama and turn your criticism towards Herseth for supporting this dude for Pres and Pelosi for Speaker. Obama could careless what JT says but Herseth would wake up and listen.
Entenza went to Augie for a couple of years, but before he got caught being a cheat, he did an interview for Minnesota Law and Politics slamming our state for being backwards. In spite of sharing an alma maters with him, I wrote a letter to the editor taking after his weak understanding of things like test scores, wired schools, etc.. I would hope Johnson and Herseth-Sandlin would repudiate this dirtball too – not raise money for somebody that holds their home state in contempt.
Most Democrats in Minnesota saw through Entenza after his last aborted attempt at running for statewide office. That is, most Democrats who hadn’t already seen through this lying sack of s**t. This guy is scum through and through.

I would like to say that after four years, maybe Matt Entenza may have changed his ways.
Some how I doubt it
