That’s just sad.
I’m just sick tonight after reading the news.
Long time readers might know of my affliction of enjoying professional wrestling, as I have since being a kid. Yes, I know it’s scripted. But you try to jump off a steel cage, and get back on stage to do it again the next night.
Tonight, I’m hearing the tragic news of the death of my favorite wrestler, Chris Benoit and his family as related on Yahoo News:
WWE wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife and son were found dead Monday and police said they were investigating the deaths as a homicide.
Lt. Tommy Pope of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department said the three were found at their home about 2:30 p.m., but refused to release details.Pope said results of autopsies on Benoit, his wife Nancy, and 7-year-old son Daniel were expected Tuesday.

Update – latest reports show it is being investigated as a murder-suicide. If that’s the case, I suspect it’s going to make a lot of people like me walk away from watching that stuff forever.

I know. But too many of them go out tragically like that. And even more tragically, he took his wife and child with him.
I have been away for awhile but, did one of the higher ups in the wrestling world die in his limo in a fire blast of some sort? Like i said, i didn’t get the whole story just saw a snippet? I am one week behind on news not that this is important or shaking my world i have other fish to fry than this. but am curious…
As for wrestling it use to be good. My dad and i used to watch it. Wrestling has been bad for a long time They turned it into a side show. IT STINKS! Of course this is my humble but loud opinion.
It really shouldn’t come as a big surprise when things like this happen with pro wrestlers.
Most of those guys are so OD’d on steriods, that it’s hard to believe they even know if they’re coming or going most of the time.
Why walk away? Phil Hartman died in a murder-suicide yet I still watch TV and movies. Don’t confuse an entertainer’s personal life with the show he puts on.
