Bridge on the River Why
Thanks to a new generation of Republican heroes arriving on the scene to fill the shoes of Colonel Warden and Commander Shears and blow up that damn bridge, the immigration bill was blown up on the Senate floor this morning. Who filled the shoes of Colonel Warden and Commander Shears? Let’s name some of them: Senator Jim DeMint, Senator Jeff Sessions, Senator David Vitter, Senator John Thune. As for those who have filled the shoes of Colonel Nicholson, dear reader, I ask you to name names over at the Forum.

I don’t think Thune deserves the credit for the immigration effort failing, look to the 14 Democrats who voted against it.

Did you of you hear what the dumbest senator said or at least one of them. Sen Specter said (not a quote here) that the phone calls and the emails and letters he received did not speak for America. Has he fallen on his head and forgot those who call ,email and write ARE the voice of America!
He has to GO!
If Johnson doesn’t support it all his Dem buddies will not go out and fundraise for him regardless if he runs or not!
He still can try to influence votes if he runs or not he has a war-chest of monies.
Let’s not forget that Arlen (the In) Spector would have lost his last primary in PA had not Bush and the GOP bigwigs not campaigned for him and against his pro-life conservative opponent.
O, there was more to it than that in the last Senate PA Race. I will have to ponder it for a bit. Spector has to go as many in the senate.
Possibly Paris & Bigfoot liked the fit of “dem thar” shoes.
