Here’s the world’s smallest violin for Badlands Bleu.

What? It’s Badland’s Blue, instead of Badlands Bleu?

Sorry. I figured they had to have some nice cheese to go with their whine:

So why change the headline, then? Because one right-wing blogger throws a hissy fit? Is that all it takes for the Argus Leader to ditch its journalistic integrity? I guess the rest of us bloggers should keep that in mind next time we don’t like one of their stories or headlines. Unbelievable.

Read that here.

Sorry “Left-Wing Blogger” Lowell from Virginia. That’s one for us. You’ll have to console yourself with the other two or three thousand they gave to you guys over the past few decades.

This time the Argus looked at it objectively and professionally, and I have to give credit where credit where credit is due. To purposely ignore the guy with the lowest score while calling out the others wasn’t just an oversight. It was an intentional omission, which once brought to their attention, they made right.

It’s called integrity and fairness.

So, BB – would you prefer a nice stilton, or an extra sharp aged cheddar?

Pat, why do you let a slovenly fellow (more slovenly than you I mean) from Virginia play in your sandbox? At least Sibby and Epp are from South Dakota.

at first, the Argus wrote the story just like the Johnson campaign wanted…when called on it, they showed some fairness. the Johnson campaign doesn’t like fairness.

This Lowell is a DC-import from the national Democratic Party. He knows nothing about SD; what he knows is nasty Washington-style campaigning. That is exactly what has been causing Johnson so much trouble this last week – he has denounced their tactics two or three times.

The Democrats should have ignored today’s headline switch, because any fairminded person would see that the original headline was incredibly slanted.

The Badlands Blue guy is just a DNC shill. You should have seen how he tried to spin Herseth’s and Johnson’s Congressional “power” rankings. If his attempt at spin hadn’t been so pathetic, it would have been funny. And whatsa matter? Can’t the Dems, with Howard Dean’s money to state organizations, find a South Dakota lib spin doctor like Epp or Bill Fleming or somebody to do the job instead of some guy from Virginia?
