Denise over at the Hog House Blog has a mild poke at Gov Rounds this afternoon with regards to being the main speaker at the Friday Night banquet:
For the party faithful’s sake, I hope Gov. Rounds does NOT say anything about “working together,” as people will still be digesting their dinners. And even loyal soldiers can stomach only so much.

I’m just surprised they would have such a two faced tax and spend Liberal speak at their dinner. How he calls himself a conservative is enough to turn your stomack. Are they going to ban the highway patrol from his speech?
eh. Didn’t seem that harsh to me. What else would Ross say? She wrote more “harsh” articles back when she was a “reporter” who wrote “news stories”.
PP and the others will dutifully applaud, and jostle for an opportunity to shake hands with Governor Mike.

Problem is, it’s true. Besides, a lot of people are ticked at him because he rarely shows up at West River GOP events.
Rounds is the speaker? Yaawwwnn, snooore, more lame, scripted $100,000 Lawrence & Schiller…empty filler.

Well Rounds is the “leader of the party.” So this makes sense, right folks? He should be the guy leading us to victory & standing strong for republican values and candidates. What a load.
Rounds was “elected” (eh hum) to the slot by his delegate peers. Anyone got that story & willing to share?

Denise still has a blog? Is she still gunning for that Tim Johnson press job?
As for Rounds, he no more leads the party than Sam Kephart does. John Thune calls the shots, raises the money, sparks the enthusiasm, attends the county events, and VOTES THE RIGHT WAY!
It is hard enough for Dykstra to get name recognition the way it is but when he can’t get top billing within his party the race is over before it starts.
Denise and Kranz talk semi-regularly on SDPB radio. PP, you should try to get in on that.
