From the Rapid City Journal:

The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe plans to build a casino on the shore of Lake Oahe, in Stanley County.

It plans to feature slot machines and card games at a location on tribal land, and it eventually also will have a motel and boat dock on the Missouri River reservoir

and under comments…

The land is on north Hwy 1806 a couple miles from the emergency spillway. It borders Buffalo Ridge Estates.

Read it all here.

The best part is that while it is tribally owned, some are speculating that it isn’t on trust land – setting the stage with the state for a showdown over the issue.

Good for the tribe!

Why is that the best part?

Why would the state allow this when every other tribal owned casino other than Fladreau is failing and engulfed in fraud, corruption and going broke?

A casino is ALWAYS a good idea!

NEVER HAPPEN. The VL gambling bosses in Pierre will not allow.
