Oh, this is just getting better every day. IM10 files their pre-general report.
The Open and Clean group just filed their pre-general financial report for initiated measure 10. And this is just priceless.
There’s a good reason that they report every 5 and 10 dollar donation. Because if they filled it out as the instructions said to, the ONLY itemized donors would be the South Dakota Conservative Action Council. In this report, they raised $247,905. Of course, the SDCAC was in for $247,000, which means this part of the reporting cycle, they provided 99.6% of the funding for the measure. Bringing the grand total of out-of-state money that they’ve pumped into IM10 to about $650-660,000.
Up that by another $10,350 that the SDCAC is providing in in-kind assistance, and you can see who is really running this measure.
It wasn’t written by South Dakotans. It’s not supported by South Dakotans. And except for a smattering pittance, it’s not even funded by South Dakotans.
Amazing.
Say, speaking of amazing – remember when I was talking about the connection between Initiated Measure 10 and 2006’s Jail-4-Judges ballot proposal, Amendment E? Check out the largest individual donor on the Initiated Measure 10’s report (besides the SDCAC):
The largest non-SDCAC donor on this report is Roller Mill Service of Tea, SD. And who owns Roller Mill Service, otherwise knows as RMS, Inc?
None other than Jail-4-Judges South Dakota Jailer-in-Chief, Bill Stegmeier.
From one nutty paranoid anti-government black-helicopter idea in 2006, to another nutty paranoid anti-government black-helicopter idea in 2008. Both equally as bad. Both equally as unconstitutional.
