i’ll vote for knudsen or herseth.

we all live in sioux falls. believe me, these people are not hoity toity. this town is full of people “not from sioux falls” that would vote for a person from sioux falls as long as they didn’t fall into that ‘hoity toity’ club. people can’t discount sioux falls because it’s full of south dakotans…not because it’s full of snobs.

I think it is natural that some in Sioux Falls don’t do well. It is not because they are from Sioux Falls it is because they are in a clique. Not that it isn’t nice to have friends. The issue is the rest of the state knows that they are not in that clique.

I’ve never run across that mentality, and I live in SF. The rest of the state needs to get over their hangup with us “city folk” and realize that the SF metro area contains about 1/3 of the state’s population. You’ll have to listen to us whether you like what we say or not.

Daugaard is a man of the people and one of our most genuine state wide candidates.

There are abot 10 second generation Sioux Falls people. Most of the people come from Presho, Newell, Britton, Corsica, Lennox, etc.

As to “being from Sioux Falls…big negative”, I’m not sure that needs to be explained. It’s the Hoity-Toity, smarter-than-you-west-river-dudes, “cultured”, We’re-almost-as-good-as-Minneapolis mentality that tends to really yank off anybody west of the river. West of the James river. Perhaps west of the Big Sioux.

Now he just need to realize that it is a bad Idea to go through this property valuation change yes we need it done, but the way is wrong and even Dave know it. The guy may have enough ability to get elected.

Daugaard is the man If you don’t know who he is you should make a point to find out what a great guy he is.

As for the right wing which I am a part of. I would perfer to just say consertative, pro free market, common sense.
Libs are trained to say it since they have nothing good to say about themselves that is another story.

We need to get off certain subjects and do what we say we will do that is the only way to beat herseth. In fact if we don’t change as a party back to the principles that guide us I may vote for her. She may turn out to be more concertative than our Republicans running.

Schoenbeck’s departure will furher split the republicans and a good portion of them will either cast the anti Rounds vote for Knudsen or break further….as in Herseth or Heidepriem.

BIG GOVERNMENT SOLUTIONS (ie. Federal) are the least likely to succeed, as they are more likely to create more problems with each problem they try to resolve.

If you think the problems government creates are bad, just wait until you see their solutions!

I’ve worked for the government too long to see it as anything more than a human faulted, connection driven, empire building, bureaucratic mess.

There are SOME tasks that government can and should do but we’re in a period where government is using its power to take over areas that it should not be involved in.

Jank has $900K still in his account? Good luck in getting him to help the party. He’s done more harm than good for the GOP. If you didn’t kiss his ass, you were under his shoe.

Unfortunately, the GOP nomination process and primary will be a conservative litmus test rather than a process to discover who might be the best leader for the state. Knudson is a leader who is fairly moderate by SD GOP standards.

He might have a chance if he finds within himself some measure of charisma. Realistically though, this probably isn’t going to happen.

It’s too easy on these anonymous boards to let things get out of hand. We’re all guilty of it from time to time.

This isn’t meant to be character assassination. It’s just meant to be an examination of which candidate you feel fits the mold best, and why.

Knudson’s candidacy is a complete and total joke.

‘All,’ in the Republican sense, of course refering to everyone except gay people.

That is why he gets along with Dems. They WANT government in on everything.

Republicans, conservative ones, think that we are usually better off if government DOESN’T do anything about it. The government that governs the best governs the least.

I’m urging Republicans right now, denounce Knudson.
