Badlands Blue scrubbed clean?
Todd Epp at SD Watch has a piece on the Dem’s political blog – Badlands Blue – which was primarily written by “Virginia” Lowell, an out of state Democratic operative this last election. As you can see by visiting the site, they’ve sent in the cleaners to scrub it free of evidence.
However, take heart. It’s the internet. On-line is (darn near) forever.

I just went there to check it out. Apparently you can still contribute to the Dems thru the site, however!
Evidence? Not sure what “evidence” you’re talking about. How about the Republican’s website, what was called again? Republican Wipeout?
I understood that there were funds from the national Dems that were used to illegally register voters who were not residents of South Dakota. Does this scrubbed clean site have anything to do with that? Or is it just clean until the next election cycle?
It will return as the saying goes, just like a bad penny! What we need is more commenters on that site to refute their bias and slanted articles. If enough of us did that, we could effectively shut it down and they wouldn’t have to wipe it clean after the election.
Does anyone know more about this out of state operative Virginia Lowell? Where was she from and what was her background?
Don, It is Lowell from Virgina as in Lowell Feld, a blogger and author whom has worked in campaigns for Wesley Clark, Jim Webb, Tim Kaine, and Mark Warner and was hired by the SDDP to run Badlands Blue during the just completed campaign season
yo 12:11… it is Republican Tide and it is still up and running. Check it out at http://www.republicantide.com
Just an update on Badlands Blue. It seems that the hosting company of Blue and numerous other liberal sites powered by SoapBlox was hacked. They may or may not have wanted to shut down but even if they didn’t, hackers took care of it for them. Source

It was a definite hit piece by the Dems, using “Badlands” to make it seem like it was a SD site. Oh well, based on the number of commenters it had, the site wasn’t viewed much and was probably a nearly complete waste of Dem money. So that was good anyway! But why would they feel the need to “scrub it clean” at this point? It was just attacks on Republicans, the usual stuff. Or was it? Maybe it was just the few sensible and pointed comments by the opposition on the site that the Dems wanted to be rid of!
