Aberdeen American News joins the voices in favor of the Thune Exit plan.
The Aberdeen American News just added their voice to the chorus of grassroot level support for US Senator John Thune’s Government Ownership Exit Plan:
Legislation authored by Sen. John Thune has been endorsed by the nation’s largest business organization, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Thune’s Government Ownership Exit Plan, S 1242, would bar the government from purchasing majority stakes in any new private companies and establishes a process for the eventual sale of the existing government portfolio, which includes banks, automakers and insurance companies.

An exit plan for government-owned private companies and a recommended timetable for its implementation would have a positive impact on the marketplace. It would also go a long way toward debunking the notion that President Obama is following some top-secret master plan to consolidate his own power by imposing government control over the free enterprise system.
We commend the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in recognizing the good that would come from Sen. Thune’s legislation, and we urge his colleagues on both sides of the aisle to consider the merits of passing such a bill in the current session.

Senator Thune’s exit plan is good, but as long as we are talking about exit plans, I think Senator Thune can introduce a better one!
I tell you what, after reading on the internet what Rush Limbaugh said, I think there might be an “exit plan” brewing for that guy obama! Limbaugh: So we’ve got hell breaking loose in Honduras. You know what we learned about Honduras? We learned the Obama administration tried to stop the coup. Now what was — the coup was what many of you wish would happen here, without the military.
Rush says this is Barack Obama, who led from the United States Senate his party into doing everything he could to ensure the defeat of the U.S. military. … This party was doing everything it could to impugn and dishonor the military. “This is a guy who sought their defeat.”
I am so happy that our military can hear everything Rush is saying on daily basis on Armed Services Radio! Our military needs to know that this guy obama sought their defeat! With our military listening to Rush, I am thinking that it won’t be long and our military just might start to see that guy obama as a traitor. And they all know what Rush said, that the Honduras coup was what many of you wish would happen here, without the military.
Maybe Rush is right….maybe a similar military-based removal of that guy obama from office might be justified. Senator Thune has an exit plan to get the government out of business. Maybe Senator Thune should introduce an exit plan to get that guy obama out of our government? Rush Limbaugh has a super strong following. I bet Rush and his followers would really get behind Thune. But do you think Senator Thune as the strength of character and courage to propose this type of an exit plan?
Good to see. I’m not sure where I was linked to it, but John was on the Hugh Hewett show talking about the plan the other day. It is linked through his website if anyone wants to listen. Anyway, I see this as a winner if we get enough national attention. RCJ and AAN are good, but let’s see USA Today, the WA Post, Times, Journal, etc, do strong endorsements.
