From KELO:

Monday, he officially signed the paperwork to de-certify the petition to put the ban on that ballot.

Shortly after signing the letter Nelson received court documents from Judge Mark Barnett issuing a stay on the smoking ban, meaning the ban won’t go into effect until the legal process is finished.

Read it here, and stay tuned to KELOland for more on the Smoking ban being stopped again.

Well, at least the people will decide…

I wonder how long I have left, due to all the second hand smoke I’ve been exposed to.

Has anyone else been exposed?

PP, dude, it’s a stay. Not much of a shocker considering the State didn’t oppose it. Only makes sense to keep things on hold while this works through the legal process.

I don’t know how to vote!!

Just a reminder of the sources of the bans:

And what the 99 million dollars was going to. Note on page seven, patios later, AFTER business owners spend thousands of dollars to accommodate their smoking customers, then page eight, discouraging ballot measures.
