Lost in translation….

Apparently, the language barrier can make things icy. Here’s what really happened….

State Department officials said the student approached Clinton afterward and told her he had meant to ask what Obama, not Bill Clinton, thought about the Chinese loan. A senior Clinton aide said that Mrs. Clinton assured the student not to worry about it.

The student’s question, according to the State Department translation, went like this: “Thank you. Mrs. Clinton, we’ve all heard about the Chinese contracts in this country. The interference is from the World Bank against this contract. What does Mr. Clinton think through the mouth of Mrs. Clinton and what does Mr. Mutombo think on this situation? Thank you very much.”

It was unclear whether the French-speaking student or translator had erred. Either way, she was not pleased at the mention of her husband’s name.

I watched this last night. The look on her face……. I would say she was a little irritated.

As my ten year old would say “she is a bee, with a really bad itch”

I feel sorry for the guy who asked the question; he’s probably wondering why she got so mad at him! But it shows that Hillary really does not like playing second fiddle to Bill. Wonder how she keeps her cool when Obama orders her around!

How embarrassing for the US. Our top diplomat yells at a foreign student when asked a simple question. There may have been some miscommunication but I would rather know what Bill thought. At least Bubba can get journalists freed from N. Korea. Hillary should be happy to share the stage and ideas from her much more charismatic and DIPLOMATIC husband. Why are we discussing national politics on the SOUTH DAKOTA blog?

Oh, she could probably have handled that with a bit more diplomacy, huh? Come on, Hil. Everybody likes you too. Really. Better than Bill even. Right, PP?

Ha! She could have easily restated the question to a more appropriate form. Said something like, “I think the questioner meant to ask what President Obama thinks of the issue, so I will answer that question…”

If she worked during the Truman admin, she would have been the Geneva Diva! We need to figure out a monicker like that for her…

I say that not because she’s a woman, but because she has thin skin and sharp elbows…

Republican, is the “male” version of “diva” “devo?” Ya think?

Beyotch! She didn’t even get that pissed when Billy was banging all those interns.

banging all those interns.

Got names of “all those interns”?

I suspect the fact that Hillary got a lot of attention for her campaigna as New York Senator and presidency had primarly to do with her name recognition which was primarily the result of Bill being President, and that realization still rankles Hillary.

It was however good enough reason to support Obama instead of her.

Well, I got to give it for Hillary. When she lost the primary she did not give up and supported Obama and the greater cause of her party. You sure do not see that coming from Sarah Palin…who quit when things no longer went her way. There is the difference between a person of stamina and a crybaby princess from Alaska.

Good idea, Mac. Change the subject. Hillary’s thin skin is showing.
You have a point, Wiken. “All of those interns” is only one of those interns. That makes it ok. And he did not even mention the attempted rape and the fondling and the exposing charges that he has never denied. A real person of character would be done with this guy instead of letting him walk all over her. Instead, she went with him so she could advance, since she had done nothing of substance on her own except for turning $1000 into $100,000 in cattle futures. I think we should turn our treasury over to her.

No, not changing the subject…just pointing out the obvious difference between Hillary and Palin since we are on the subject of Hillary. You are not too perceptive are you duggersd?

Um Mac, the subject is Hil and her lost in translation. I do not see anything about Palin in this post. I seem to have missed the part about Palin quitting in the video. Perhaps you could point it out to me. I cannot see what is not there.

If you don’t get the part about the Princess from Wasilla quiting her job because things got rough, then I can’t help explain anything to you…good day.

Yes, Palin did resign her position when “things got rough.” I still respect her more than I do Hil for sticking with a slimeball like Bill who has made her look like a fool to the whole world, it would seem only to advance her career.

OK, Mac. You cannot help me. I will just add: at least Reagan saved our economy. Same amount of connection.

That young woman is dangerous and a fool with a fetish for her own fame, but she sure does look swell in a pants suit! More pics!!!!!!!

I’m no fan of Billary but I gotta say I don’t blame her for getting testy. She should have been President, she’s taking orders from Nobama, and her philadering husband (who for some reason still gets a pass for his bad behavior from liberals and feminists) gets the attention.

Like I said.

I don’t blame her.

Once again, to the consternation of Kevin Woster, Hillary shows why her temperament and judgment was unsuited for the top job.

Mac, you are a wonderful approximator with insight far beyond our ability comprehend, but please, go easy on us. It takes me at least a month to digest each and every little blurb that comes off your fingers. I would like to look forward to Sept 12 for your next insightful comment, go easy though, note the date (09/12), I waited until the 12th not wanting to reduce the value of 09/11. Please don’t take anything I say seriously Mac as the value of this post seems to have gone south after a good banging.

Anna, you know why PP posted this…just as you said, to preach to his choir. If he were really interested in what our Secretary of State was doing, he would have course focused on the reason she was there. PP is predictable, so, don’t count on him to focus on substative issues because they are too difficult for him since that would deal with discussing facts and logic.

Nice pantsuit.
