Brown County Sheriff’s race heating up. Dan Kaiser’s boss endorses candidate’s opponent, Mark Milbrandt.

From facebook, an observant reader just pointed out a post to a local Aberdeen page that indicates that the race for Sheriff in Brown County might be getting a little more personal than it already is:

  1. Mark Milbrandt has been a good long time Sheriff in Brown County and hope he is re-elected. It is a good department.

  2. Does anyone have a copy of the letters Kaiser is sending out that have people up in arms?

    1. I have a copy of that letter. It is poorly written, full of lies and hate, and only an idiot would be behind Kaiser. He’s a dishonest coward and nothing but an ass kissing political monkey. Mark’s letter is quite the opposite I might add. Very direct and non-meandering. Mark has done and his Chief Deputy have done a fine job with the management of Brown County’s Sheriff’s department.

      1. Can you send the letters to Pat to post, if he is willing that is of course….but if we get to see both sides then people can decide objectively…again…just my 2 cents 🙂

      2. Coward huh? Says the person calling Dan a coward using an Anonymous name. Pretty easy to say that when you are hiding behind a computer screen.

  3. I can tell you Milbrandt is winning the sign war in Aberdeen. Not sure how that plays out in the election.

  4. Dan Kaiser already has done a good job in the race, he got Milbrandt to show up for his first Lincoln Day Dinner.

I’ll sum this up for everyone: Liberals are campaigning for Milbrandt! Any more questions! Vote for Dan Kaiser the Conservative vote.

    1. Liberals for Milbrandt? I don’t think so. He has served Brown County well for a long time. He always keeps a low profile and just gets things done. Framing this into a liberal vs conservative battle is nonsense and not needed. Dan is a good officer and if this is how they are framing the campaign it will turn many off and work against him.

  5. Feasant, this kind of talk is exactly why Kaiser is going to lose the election. Both Kaiser and his supporters have focused on looking ultra conservative for years. I got news for you: that only works in elections when he’s running against a weak candidate. This ones different. Milbrandt is a good person that is led by a moral compass, not politics. That’s what a good sheriff does.

      1. If you knew anything about the department or the case you would know that she was the guilty one, not the department. Timing is everything for a situation like this one, the Kaiser family is known for media manipulation. Do your research. Nothing but a bunch of media junkies these days

  6. On May 9 at noon there will be a forum for this Sheriff race at Brown County Republicans—Pizza Ranch

Should be a fun and informative event.

    1. Correction, the sheriff form hosted by the Brown co Republicans is at the RAMKOTA, not pizza ranch. $10 sandwich bar will be available.

  7. Okay… have to draw a couple of lines here.

If you can’t point to a link or evidence, don’t make accusations.

And don’t attack spouses, period. It’s just not necessary. Keep it to the candidates.

  8. What are the positions of each candidate? Why would they be the best candidate.

Ie why vote for them vs the other guy? Instead of name calling–maybe advocate WHY you should vote for someone….

  9. It’s time we gets rid of the good old boys club, from Jockley right down to brown co sheriff Mark Milbrandt.
