Apparently, a Spearfish Democrat is planning on running for the open seat being vacated by State Senator Bob Ewing Next year, due to term limits. And it’s a name we’ve heard before:

Brooke Abdallah, who as announced in March of 2018 had been the West River Coordinator for Bjorkman for Congress…

(..but had disappeared by July of 2018) has filed paperwork declaring a committee for “Abdallah for Senate.”  It looks like the campaign had started all the way back in November of 2018. And she filed a zero dollar report for the committee back in March, which I’ve also included in the above PDF.

Interestingly, if you go to Abdallah’s LinkedIn Page, there’s no mention of her ill-fated run with Bjorkman for Congress in 2018, preferring to ignore that job in favor of her time with the South Dakota Forward PAC.

It’s unclear what experience she plans to highlight to voters as she prepares to run for office.  Her forming a Political PAC, working for the Democrats, or whopping one year of real-world job experience.

Sorry… Year and a half if you include her work on Bjorkman for Congress. Which it sounds like she’s trying to forget.

  1. A strong GOP candidate will run against the liberal. Lawrence County GOP will fight her with all they have.

    1. They’d better make sure they have a decent candidate. They have a lot of goofballs there too.

  2. Do the Democrats really need a secretary in the Senate when you only have five members ?

  3. The Lawrence County Republican central committee leadership is such a disaster, it won’t take much for some moderate Democrats to take over the whole county!

  5. Something is wrong…if you go to the South Dakota Forward PAC there is a list of legislators that got money it says…but it does not match the report…..

  6. I predict Brooke Abdallah will win District 31. Harris/Sanders 2020 or bust

  8. The majority of people in that county are idiots. The only good choice for this race is John Teupel. Hopefully he runs.
