  1. Polls schmolls. Election day is what counts. We may be in for a big change for good in South Dakota.

      1. Bringing the Noem Washington DC Swamp to the Pierre and expanding that Swamp would not be positive change. Vote Sutton!

        1. Bringing liberal ideas and democratic party philosophies isnt a change that would be positive. And dont kid yourself, Sutton doesnt have anything SD needs.

        2. I don’t even feel like Sutton or Bjorkman or Seiler are campaigning. Does anyone hear anything from them? Yes, they are the best candidates the Dems have run since 2008. Bjorkman might not be as good as Varilek in 2012 but Sutton is the best candidate they have had for Governor since 1986 with Lars Herseth.

The big eye opening fact with the Dems was their convention. I and many others thought that since they were running Seiler for AG they would bring some good candidates for constitutional races like Julie Bartling for SOS. Instead they couldn’t even find a candidate by convention voting time and had to come back the next day.

It’s the same for Auditor, Treasurer, Public Lands and PUC. Really weak and pathetic candidates.

It told me immediately that Sutton had failed to inspire the Democrat Party enough to recruit good people and candidates to run even if they were to lose.

The GOP has a very strong slate.

          1. Solid points. Good analysis.

The SD Farm Bureau Poll would lead one to expect a 66-34 Noem victory. I suspect it will be closer. Many Sutton voters are the types who avoid State Fairs (and County Fairs).

              1. Republicans and Indys know what’s at stake. Our freedom.

And, who wants yrs of investigations into false allegations and attempts at impeachment based on lies? What a waste of our tax dollars.

We are uniting and rallying behind all Rep candidates. Well, expect for those “5 Rep friends” (maybe up to 6 now) who will be voting Sutton.

      1. Libertarian? Usually draw from Republicans. He may get 100 votes? What other party? Constitutional? They will draw from Republicans.

    1. Care to law a wager on that? I don’t usually gamble, but if you are giving away free money its more of a bonus.

  2. Great Republicans for Billie Sutton ad out. Really good but not surprising! Looking forward to Governor Sutton inauguration. Bjorkman and Seiler getting sworn in.

        1. Well the one pair that said he was trustworthy actually left the city of Gregory owing money, and the bank itself where Billie workka was left holding some bad debt for them. So maybe this is how they will get back in good standing? Funny how many people just ignore this stuff cause they think Billie is just a good ole cowboy coming to save the day. And what really surprises me is how nice Billies wife appears! She never smiles at anyone! Crazy how being in front of a camera changes you. Voters would never know how things really are.

  3. At least they released their straw poll unlike the Dems at the state fair….they must still be recounting and adding to their candidates totals to skew the results

  4. Dave R,

I am willing to bet the Dem Bold Predictor that none of the three will get 45%. And with the right odds, I will bet none get to 40%.

Wonder if this will get the Bold Predictor to risk their reputation and disclose their identity? I will bet not. Dems wear paper bags over their heads which makes sense. Who would want to admit they belong to the party of Maxine and Schumer.

  5. Democrats will keep losing elections across the state as long as Cory Heidelberger is involved in their party. I hope they put him totally in charge, he is the best thing the Republicans have going.

  6. A Farm Bureau straw poll is about as credible as a straw poll held at a partisan political convention. The Noem/Sutton race is very close. It will all come down to the urban vote in southern Sioux Falls. Groundzero for this race is in very northern Lincoln County between I-29 and the Sioux River, and 57th to 95th Street.

It is no longer who is “cowboy enough.” Rather, it is now a question of who is urban enough (Urban Cowboy?…. (A great songtrack… 😉 ))
