Former mayor required to admit wrongdoing

From the Rapid City Journal, Former Mayor Jim Shaw who has quite the history with authority figures is going to be required to admit in writing that he might have an issue with following instructions:

As part of a plea agreement, former Rapid City mayor Jim Shaw must write a statement admitting he made mistakes when a police officer attempted to stop him for speeding in June.

Shaw, 65, was arrested after he failed to stop when a police officer attempted to pull him over for speeding. Shaw eventually stopped his 1997 Porche 911 but confronted the police officer, which resulted in him being charged with obstructing a police officer.

The arresting officer, Justin Gizzi, drew his weapon when Shaw jumped out of his car and ignored his commands, according to Rapid City police.
