  1. Thank God for people like Fred! Not sure if was intentional but that was a very good mind moment (or should’ve been) when he said ‘just a heartbeat away’. I think that was unintentional but was the best Freudian slip I’ve heard. (Fredian slip??) He’s spot on though as Billie said in the debate he’s had “several” A’s in the pro-life category but it’s only been ONE, maybe one B and the rest Cs. HB 1107 in 2017 is simply one example of what Fred is talking about is my guess… And he’s totally right about what Kristi has the foresight to see; what if something happens to her??? The LT is next in line. Can you imagine a South Dakota if Michelle Lavelle rolled into the Governor’s office?? Maybe this is why Kristi talks about her running mate in such a positive light when I’m pretty sure I’ve barely heard Billie even mention his running mate in the event they actually took over!!

  2. How’s that working in SD? Last I heard, it is still leagal to get an abortion. I don’t think over 40 years of the one party rule in SD as overturned Roe.

  3. I believe this is inappropriate for the President of RTL. Fred should not be doing this “on his own”. He has close ties to Noem.

This may damage Right To Life’s relationships with future legislators and perhaps the next governor. Both candidates for South Dakota Governor are pro-life.

    1. Nice video from one who is passionate about RTL. For those who are in the least undecided about the Governor’s race, the PBS candidate forum last night showed clearly who our next governor should be. Billy tried to spar with Kristi by going on offense and exposed his lack of understanding of our tax system and much more. He and the other guy were left in the dust on pretty much every subject. Vote for the REAL governor in this race and South Dakota will be the envy of all states in the nation. Wondering how many saw it.

    1. Sutton, a great warrior? The warriors I’m familiar with think for themselves. You must have missed the clip where Sutton said he supported Sanders, but was told to vote for Clinton.

    1. You got the tool part right- it’s disgusting when former legislators go on to lobby. Lining their pockets after creating thenlaws- disgusting.

    2. Th e support of the rights of the unborn to not be killed is a tool of the GOP? No, it is a firmly held belief in the rights of babies and the knowledge and acceptance of the evil nature of abortion. For Sutton it is a tool.

      1. It depends on your definition of when life starts. There is no solid position of whether it starts at conception, when a heart beat starts, or at birth.

And I didn’t call the right of the unborn a tool, I inferred Fred is a tool, but reading for comprehension/education based in science, aren’t GOP values.

        1. Some time ago, I attended a legislative coffee to listen to the legislators from the area. Someone asked when life begins. As I recall, each of them, even the token Democrats, said life begins at conception. What is your definition?
The point is, whenever you believe life begins, an abortion of that point is the destruction of a new life. Even if you believe it is when the heart starts beating, about six weeks, then any abortion after that is killing a person.
People who believe life begins at conception often have a hard time reconciling allowing someone to remove a being that that person believes to be a new life. Again, when do you believe life starts? Do you believe abortion is OK after that point?

          1. life begins at conception…it does not just start when heart is beating…things clearly happened before that started the process

  4. Whether Billie is anti-choice is academic at best, given that a healthy majority (“Healthy Families”) is pro-choice in this state…. The people of South Dakota, via a referendum, will always overturn any Kristi or Billie anti-choice signature on this issue…
