From ABC NEWS:
Beth Myers, the head of Mitt Romney’s secretive vice presidential search, kept the mystery alive Friday when she gave a “Friday Follow” shout out to a number of potential running mates for the presumptive Republican nominee.
” #FF @KellyAyotte @timpawlenty @GovChristie @BobbyJindal @marcorubio @RepPaulRyan @newtgingrich,” Myers tweeted, spurring a flurry of speculation from reporters on Twitter about the names both on and off the list.
But soon after, Myers, tweeted a second message, rounding out the list with more names widely considered to be on Romney’s list.
That doesn’t exactly narrow it down.
Read it here. The Argus is also writing about it as well:
Republicans who have campaigned for him have reportedly made his short list, including former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Sens. Rob Portman of Ohio and Marco Rubio from Florida.
Thune told the Argus Leader he?s ?not waiting for the call? from Romney. But that won?t keep him from traveling the country during the next two months to help Romney, Senate candidates and people running for office in South Dakota.
?I don?t expect it to happen, but I do want to help,? Thune said after attending the opening of a Republican campaign office in Springfield, Va. ?I know it?s a campaign that?s going to cover a lot of ground, and a candidate can only be in so many places.?
By his own statement, he’s not waiting for the call, but it’s incredibly flattering for Thune and South Dakotans that we have a US Senator with the respect and stature to be considered.
