PIERRE, S.D.- Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that one of the nine female inmates who had been charged with distribution and ingesting of a controlled substance at the South Dakota Women’s Prison has pled guilty. Loretta Ann Flute, 21, pled guilty to ingestion of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, class 5 felony, maximum penalty of 5 years in the state penitentiary and/or $10,000 fine.

Sentencing is scheduled for April 29, 2016 at the Hughes County Courthouse.

This case was investigated by the Division of Criminal Investigation and prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.

  1. Pretty obvious Powers has a mancrush on Jackley, he never met a Jackley press release he didn’t like. And on another front meth use explodes and the drug kingpins moving the poison into our state go unpunished.
