Jackley is in for the Governor’s race as well, forming committee.

I’d heard this earlier this AM, but was waiting for the paperwork to be posted. But Marty Jackley has formed a Jackley for Governor Committee with funds from both his AG campaign fund and his PAC:

Marty JackleyAttorney General Marty Jackley said Tuesday that he’s forming a political committee with about $700,000 in the bank as he prepares to run for governor in 2018.

Jackley told The Associated Press that the group will include funds from his attorney general committee and a separate political action committee.

Jackley’s disclosure came a day after U.S. Rep. Kristi Noem declared her own run, first reported by the Sioux Falls Argus Leader.

  1. I like Marty and one of the reasons is that he is a humble guy who is just plugging along without any distractions.

  2. There is genuine dislike for him amongst conservative activist. Too many people see him as an extension of Rounds and Daugaard. He would be very vulnerable to a democrat candidate because of the EB and gear up corruption

  3. Norm may be too liberal to withstand a strong primary opponent. She’s not unassailable, but anyone running against her will need to redefine her by brining attention to very real weaknesses she’s managed to sidestep thanks to weak Democrat opposition.

  4. I’m voting for Noem. Marty could have done the right thing with EB5 and Gear Up but chose to protect his friends. It’s time to drain the swamp at the AG’s office.

    1. I agree Jackley could have handled those better and for that reason should not be running. This will be another campaign where we will have to listen to democrats call us corrupt politicians. Please stay out Marty.

  5. Based off this last election voters have had enough of career politicians and that’s what Jackley is. This guy has been paid buy the government for the last 10 years. It’s time for something new.

  6. He has the Marsy’s Law guy, Jason Glodt, listed as his Treasurer. This is going to cost Rapid City $116,000 just for the 4 new employees they now have to hire. Marty should have come out against this but once again he protected his friends.
