  1. What about her former congressional colleague from neighboring Montana and now Interior Secretary, Ryan Zinke?….. Oh yeah, I forgot…. Never mind…..

    1. Oh, and it should also be interesting to watch Lindsey try to inject the Kavanaugh controversy into our state governor’s race as well….

      #ButHowWillHeDoIt?

      1. He could point out that at least one Kavanaugh accuser has already admitted lying under oath.

        https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/2018-11-02%20CEG%20to%20DOJ%20FBI%20(Munro-Leighton%20Referral)%20with%20redacted%20enclosures.pdf

He could say the federal investigation found no evidence of the accusation’s veracity. He could point out that our next SD Governor will appoint 3 Supreme Court justices, so we need someone in Pierre whose view won’t be swayed from the facts by unfounded, untrue hashtag twitter-mob allegations. He might remind SD voters that we need a governor who believes in the rule of law and the presumption of innocence. But as the ‘objective’ media say Billie is a good ole rock solid pro-life conservative, he probably backed Kavanaugh loud and proud. Or did he? Do you by chance recall the mystery of the dog that didn’t bark?

        1. Or, maybe he could point out that the second attempt of a FBI inquiry was severly limited by the Republican controlled Senate.

Or, he could explain to us how a discussion about Kavanaugh has anything to do with the South Dakota Supreme Court

And as far as the rule of law, well, maybe Congresswoman Noem could start, or should of started, by requesting a greater respect for the rule of law when it comes the House investigation of Trump and the Russians.

          1. Both waste of time and resources. Graham was awesome! He could see right through the scam just like the rest of us with our eyes open…

            1. Why does Graham defend Trump so much, while his late friend, McCain, couldn’t stand him?….

              #AwesomeNaught!

  2. You know… the fact is JKC, it is concerning that what happened to Kavanaugh and the a**holes who put him thru it are he same group of a**holes that Billie belongs to and has never denounced. We are not a sovereign state. What happens nationally needs to be taken into consideration since, you know, we are part of this Nation. Does that make sense to you?

    1. So much for states’ rights, huh?… What I am talking about is whether some issues are really germane to a gubernatorial race and how the GOP in South Dakota have literally been throwing every and anything against the wall in a hope something sticks and stops Billie…. So I was just wondering how Pence might try to bring Kavanaugh into the debate…. Hey, what about the caravan too?….. And is there a way that Cruz’s father can be brought into this too and his Lee Harvey connection, what do you think?

      1. Why then are Billie’s supporters so quick to say “let’s not talk about X, Y, and Z — it’s not relevant”. If they had a leg to stand on they would be trying to convince us that these facts are not actually true. Barring any chance of that, they are arguing that these insights into his character, and the character of those he is allied to, should not be a topic of discussion.

        1. I get a kick out of the ad that somehow ties Billie, Bernie, and the SCOTUS. I guess I didn’t know that the governor of South Dakota had a say in who became a Supreme Court Justice, at the federal level that is…. I must of missed that day of civics class, huh?….

          1. So, your claim is that you actually went to school? Is that what you are claiming? I just want to make sure.

          2. I’ll type real slow so you don’t miss anything.

            1) The Kavenaugh shenanigans show the level of corruption that the Democrats will stoop to.

            2) Billie is choosing to associate with this corrupt national party and even running as a democrat

            3) Rather than admit the corruption and vow to fix things, Billie’s followers are putting their fingers in their ears, closing their eyes, and chanting “Na na na, cant hear you” and “irrelevant”

            1. So you are admitting that there are “Kaven(an)augh shenanigans?”

Your other two contentions make no sense…. please elaborate….

    2. And who the bulk of his money has come from… Nope, they’re not going to want anything in return.

  3. The real question is why Noem would even need a single one of them to come stump on her behalf in a state this red.

    1. Need? Not sure she ‘needs’ them. Nice of them to offer though. She and Pence have been friends for many years.

      1. It’s a severe misallocation of party resources any other election cycle (and this one in my opinion). All three guests should be in places like the Iowa 1st and 3rd or the Minnesota 2nd and 3rd because from voter registration alone SD should not even be in play to flip blue.

  4. To my knowledge, neither Graham nor Gardner are gay, so unclear as why that is relevant. If you don’t live in a cave, this isn’t an issue

  5. What Kristi has shown time and time again is that she doesn’t stand for anything. She follows the money and the (R) behind her name. I’m not a huge Billie fan because he’s not liberal enough. There are many things I don’t agree with him on..But, he’s diplomatic and he listens, which is good enough. At least good enough for S.D.

    1. What is it that you stand for RJ? What you have proven to be a fan of is hate and to judge others you don’t know. Remember the hateful things you said about the FHA and GOP? I still do.

Why should your opinion be taken seriously when you make such judgemental comments…

“This foundation promotes “racism, , homophobia, ethnocentrism and misogyny so of course they support Kristi.” -RJ.

      1. Racism is just another despicable card played by the Dems all the time; funny, wasn’t LBJ one of theirs, and wasn’t Woodrow Wilson one of theirs? Democrat is going to become a synonym for hypocrite.

    2. So why don’t you move to California where things are run so well, comrade? Why don’t you try Venezuela? Why try to ruin South Dakota for my kids so you can live in a socialist “Utopia”? Anybody who likes Bernie’s ideas has issues, and Billie has issues. I didn’t know the cowboy way was more government, no responsibility or self-reliance, and high taxes. Maybe his cowboy hat is 3 sizes too small.

        1. How does one unify people when they claim to be pro-life, but accepts money from an organization that murders babies?

  6. I care about morals and ethics. I’m totally fine with people that are gay or Jewish or immigrants.

    1. Is this what you consider to be moral…

“The GOP as it stands currently
Is composed of racist, homophobes. who will soon be irrelevant.” -RJ

  7. I care about ethics and the rule of law, and that is why I see the difference between LEGAL and illegal immigrants. Something that many refuse to acknowledge.

    1. Whoa, whoa, whoa, now you’re just being racist, don’t ya’ know; at least according to the Democrats.

    1. How am I able to treat others with kindness when I support the GOP, I’m a racist and homophobe… right? Maybe instead of telling others what to do, you could take time to examine yourself? You said you had patients, right?

Of course you stand by what you said, you’re so blinded by hate and anger you refuse to notice the truth. Would you treat Richard Grenell with kindness, how would you explain to him the GOP is composed of homophobes?

What kind of conflict do you encounter when a Democrat, an Obama volunteer is arrested for vandalizing a NYC synagogue? You just look away, because you want to hate Republicans?

  8. Why are two senators, who are South Dakota senators showing up to stump for a Gubernatorial candidate?

This just doesn’t make sense and it totally stupid.

Kristi must be in bad shape to have POTUS AND VPOTUS coming into Red South Dakota to plead for voters.

When Thune was running against Daschle, did Bush or his VP show up? Honestly not old enough to remember …

She’s run such a terrible and negative campaign…

    1. Yes, Bush did show up. I remember going to the Sioux Falls Airport to see him. I believe H.W. Bush campaigned for him as well. Not sure if Cheney ever did though.

    2. Let me see if I’ve got this right:

Kristi must be desperate, since she’s openly acknowledging and willing to associate with members of her own party. Party members who espouse the values common to many/most South Dakotans

The other guy is taking the high road by refusing to acknowledge members of his party, who espouse values which differ radically from those shared by most South Dakotans. Those people’s values (e.g. who Billie chooses to associate with and be politically affiliated with) are not relevant to this purely local race.

Got it. I’m glad you cleared that all up for me before I go vote at 7:15 tomorrow. Hope to see you all there.

  9. Well we now have one thing clear.

RJ is an unrepentant bigot. No different that a Grand Wizard in his white hat. And just like the Grand Wizard, he can’t even recognize his bigotry.

  10. It’s clear to me that Michael Avenatti pushed at least one woman into making false claims against Kavanaugh, and the Justice Department needs to pursue that case wherever it leads. Looking at the world through striped sunlight wearing striped pajamas would be good for him.

    1. Is Hillary and Bill’s “foundation” paying for the mob of illegals wanting to break into our country? AFP is a good organization, but I know having principles is foreign to liberals.

  11. I’m surprised Kristi chose the one GOP senator who is least popular with conservatives to come out and campaign for her in the most conservative part of South Dakota. She really has been in Washington too long.

    1. I consider myself to be very conservative, and I can tell you my past feelings on Lindsey Graham were completely blow away after the Supreme Court fight. The 1990s Lindsey Graham is back. I just wish he would have woken up sooner.

      1. I’m also liking Lindsey 3.0

Inviting him two months ago would have been a mistake. Now, not so much.

        1. You like Lindsey’s third attempt at reinventing himself? You like the part he’s temporarily playing because it’s currently politically convenient for him? Great powers of discernment you’re exercising there.

          1. Actually his second attempt to re-invent himself, to more closely align with 1.0.

I also liked Regan better after he became a Republican. Go figure.

    2. Graham was a rock in the Kavanagh hearings as was Collins. They showed more guts and honor than the entire Democrat party.

  12. I dont think having these men come to speak in SD means that Kristi is in bad shape.. things have been different since Trump was elected.. he rallys everywhere, and support for him is outstanding. Besides the haters, people are excited and hopeful. They are supporting those that share that dream.. which is good!!

    1. It happens on both sides. Booker campaigned for Heitkamp, Biden has campaigned for numerous candidates and Obama has hit the road for Democrats as well.

The difference is the crowds. People lining up hours prior to and walking miles to attend a Trump rally. While in Milwaukee, Obama couldn’t even fill a high school gym. The media won’t tell us about this though, they hide the truth.

      1. Booker in North Dakota; boy, why didn’t Heitkamp dig up the bones of Marx or Lenin and do a marionette show?

  13. Having Pennce out is great.

Having Grahm out makes no sense to me. Yes, he’s been acting more conservative lately, but that’s merely a man with no core principals publicly shifting with the blowing winds.

    1. With the deviltry the Dems tried to perpetrate in the Kavanagh hearings still so fresh I can see why this makes sense.

  14. I think the support she is getting from Trump, Pence, Graham, et. al. is a testament to the job she has done in Congress. They all have a lot of other places to go and they are choosing Noem.

I’m sure Obama, Clinton (both of them) and Sanders are clearing their schedule and will make it here.

    1. You’re being intellectually dishonest, Troy. The only things these visits indicate is how poorly Kristi is doing. The national GOP should have been able to count on SD to produce a GOP governor. Since Kristi and her campaign have botched it, they’re sending in VIPs to try and gin up just enough support to get her across the finish line. You know that even if you won’t publicly admit it.

    2. Wrong. If what I said were untrue, they wouldn’t be here. They are coming here because it is a close election and what I said. How it got close doesn’t matter to them.

      1. How it got close matters very much to them. Angry words have been voiced to Kristi’s team, believe me!

    3. They are clearing their schedules because a reliably Republican seat is at high risk of being lost. Funny picture you are attempting to paint.

  15. Not sure what picture you think I’m trying to paint. I’ve never denied or inferred they would still come if it was a blow-out.

What I’m saying is they have many choices where to go. I believe they are coming here because she was a good member of Congress.

    1. Not because it’s a reliably red seat suddenly at risk of going blue. Nope, the GOP never gets behind anyone they dont necessarily care for because it benefits the party.

      1. Troy understands and knows what you’re saying is true. However, he can’t admit to it while the campaign is in progress. He’s played the game long enough to know that you can’t be completely honest during the campaign. Integrity is a question of convenience when votes are on the line.

      2. They wouldn’t be wasting their time in SD if it wasn’t close. There are to many congressional seats at risk.

  16. Folks, there are a lot of close races right now and they have many choices where to go these last few days. I know it is a close race and at risk. I know this is a seat they didn’t think they would have to defend. They are coming here I am sure with the hope/expectation it will help get her voters to the polls and help her win. They go places where they think it is good for the party. That is the case with everywhere they go. I didn’t think I needed to state the obvious.

My point is the factor which makes her stand out relative to the other choices is her performance as a member of Congress.

    1. Where is Obama campaigning tomorrow? You might want to let Billie and the press know so since you seem to be the only one with that info.

      1. I have no idea except it is confirmation Obama has higher priorities than Billie Sutton or Billie Sutton knows Obama wouldn’t help him win the election. You can pick which on they are.

P.S. Why don’t you use your name? Ashamed of being outed?

        1. You wanted to claim they were coming for her because of who she is and what she has done. They aren’t. They are coming for the party because this is probably the one race where they may be able to sway people for the win. You want to give Kristi more credit than she deserves and we are calling you out on that. It’s a testament to how crappy of a candidate she is in a die hard red state.

  17. Let me speak very slow.

They only have so much time so they will only go to the close races. There are 60 close races between Senate, House and Governor races. Is this a close race? Yes

So, they ask how many races they have a chance to impact result. I would guess there are 40 (subtracts the states and House Districts carried by Hillary). They don’t have time to go 40 places. Is this a place where Trump won big? Yes

So, they start going through other criteria to decide where to go. I think it is because she was an effective Member of Congress. Maybe it is because Sutton’s biggest career accomplishment is marrying the richest girl in his hometown. Maybe it is because they can see Sutton is a guy who hasn’t managed, hired/fired anyone in his life and is utterly incapable of running State Government. Maybe it because he likes Bernie’s policies. But, I think it is as I said-she was an effective Member of Congress.

If you have another possible explanation, I’d love to hear it but saying it is close and they can make a difference is stating only the criteria to get on the possible list. It is not the criteria.

Regarding your assertion you think they are coming because they think she is a bad candidate, do you listen to yourself? Who would say it makes sense to go rescue a bad candidate when you can help a good one.

    1. She is a bad candidate for the state, not the party. Once again, they aren’t coming here because Kristi was a great congresswoman. They would come for a turd sandwich if they thought they could help push them over the top and keep the state red. Im not providing a new explanation, I’m just countering your bs reasoning about how great she was.

        1. You make good points Troy but may as well save your breath. They want to use this after Kristi wins to say ‘she only won because Pence and Trump came’ while in the same breath saying ‘everyone hates them’…

However, important note, Pence was always coming. They are friends. Friends help friends.

    2. Maybe it’s because Sutton is honest, down to earth, and authentic. He gives the common middle class people a voice, the ones who couldn’t afford to pay $5,000 or $500 dollars to see Trump. But, many of the anti-establishment voted for him. And many f those people will be voting Sutton.

      1. He does not give this common middle class household a voice. He has not said anything that we can grasp onto, he’s all over the place. And he sealed the deal for our votes to go to Noem when he accepted money from Planned Parenthood.

      2. Honest? His conservative score was never above 47% while voting his true liberal self. Then while running for governor in his last term and he comes up with a +70%? Yep, that’s really honest and authentic.

    3. Troy I didn’t know you knew how to speak any other way than “VERY SLOW”!

So if Billy’s biggest accomplishment is “marrying the richest girl in his hometown” ? What’s your biggest accomplishment marrying the dumbest?

      1. You forgot “most liberal”, and “fakest”… so I guess Billies’ accomplishment on thats wins huh? Good for him! That guy.. I tell ya, He knows how to pick em!

  18. Please post where he recieved money from planned parenthood. Guarantee Pat would have had it splattered all over the place and so would RTL. Just post your data. Thanks.

    1. South Dakota Right to Life supports Kristi Noem.

Those who support Planned Parenthood support Billie Sutton.

“Officers for South Dakota Right to Life broke with their tradition — or, they might argue, began a new one — in endorsing Kristi Noem for governor.

It really wasn’t surprising, that endorsement. Noem has a straight-A rating with Right to Life, based on past votes and regular surveys the anti-abortion group sends to elected officials. But Democrat Billie Sutton has had A ratings himself, based on votes during a given year in the South Dakota Legislature. He also has had Bs and Cs. . . (Fred) Deutsch said Sutton also hurt himself by not filling out a questionnaire on issues that was sent to gubernatorial, congressional and attorney general candidates.

“And it said on the questionnaire that if you don’t answer it, it won’t look favorably on you,” Deutsch said. “So Billie didn’t answer the questionnaire. That’s a strike against him.”

Sutton must work with those pro-choice people and organizations, and hold on to their support, leading up to the Nov. 6 election.

He was apparently doing some of that last month during a fundraiser in Sioux Falls that the Noem campaign said was by Planned Parenthood and Jones Pranger said was hosted by a grassroots organization called South Dakota Forward. Todd Epp of KELO Radio in Sioux Falls reported that the event was hosted at the home of a woman who works for Planned Parenthood”

      http://www.sdpb.org/blogs/kevinwoster/noem-vs-sutton-on-abortion-issue-gentle-opposition-versus-anything-but-gentle/

    2. “Billie Sutton attends fundraiser at Planned Parenthood employee’s home”

“Democratic gubernatorial candidate Billie Sutton says he is a pro-life candidate.

However, he had a fundraiser recently at the home of a woman who works at Planned Parenthood, one of only two abortion providers in the state.

The woman, Christina (last name inaudible), gave her affiliation at the Democratic Forum in Sioux Falls August 3.

“Hi, I’m Christina (inaudible) and I work at Planned Parenthood,” she said. She then said she had a fundraiser at her house for Sutton.”

      1. More red meat…..Pants on fire again William. Sutton not only says he is pro-life, he votes it. Post his voting record. You won’t and neither will RTL.

          1. LOL…….ask them why they took Billie and Kristi’s voting records on abortion. Jon I am still waiting for an answer. Pants on fire again.

    3. Dont you work for the Mitchell Daily Republic? You dont know how to look up this info? Weird.

  19. Big pants on fire for Pat…….why won’t you let me post Sutton’s voting record on abortion. I’ll rest my case.
