LaFleur grouses at Hubbel on social media, threatens Hubbel and Howie with legal action.

Looks like there is some unhappiness on the island of misfit toys, as the Constitution Party Candidates for Governor see Terry Lee LaFleur threatening Lora Hubbel with being ‘held accountable civilly and criminally.’

On Facebook:

Got that Lora? You’re riding the Terry train now.

(Why do I find all this hilarious?)

    1. This post is not on Terry’s fb page. I am his friend and it did not show up.

        1. Well Pat, I got to his page and it is not there. Maybe he started a new fb page and has me blocked……for what reason? who knows.

            1. I just clicked on and it said this content is not available…….He must have blocked me. YOUR VOICE, YOUR VOTE. I guess he is only giving certain people a voice.

              1. It’s a public post. You don’t even have to be on Facebook to read it. Log out, or open the link in a private window.

  1. “Driving that train, high on cocaine,
Casey Jones you better watch your speed
    Trouble ahead, trouble behind
And you know that notion just crossed my mind”

  2. After Lora Hubbel’s resignation, the state Constitution Party reinstalled Lori Stacey as chair in early February of 2017:

Lora made a bad decision to challenge Lori’s position as chair yesterday, and I tried to discourage her from doing so, but contrary to the impression one might get from reading this blog, Lora isn’t nearly as evil and arrogant as Terry LaFleur, and I strongly doubt his accusation that she knew she was lying.

I’m all for shooting down bad political ideas, but no one who cares about the long-term good of South Dakota should be rejoicing when the political process itself breaks down.

    1. Lora couldn’t run for district 9 state senate as a republican and retain her status as the state chair of the constitutional party. even after switching back to the constitutional party after losing her primary for district 9 state senate Lora would not re-assume the constitutional party chair until she was elected to that chair again. Lora just does whatever she wants. Which is why she shouldn’t ever be elected to anything again.

        1. Someone in the national party who has an axe to grind against Lori put it into Lora’s head that she was legally still the chair unless the state party could produce minutes from the meeting where they accepted her resignation. So many good people have invested so much time and money in the Constitution Party, and this whole situation is just extremely disappointing.

      1. There are a lot of different opinions from many different sources…….Probably a good thing they will be reconvening on Aug 14th. Unfortunately Lori couldn’t be there.

    2. So if Lori Staci is State Chair and doesn’t show up for the State Convention, who is suppose to conduct the meeting?

      1. I’d say the more pressing question at this point is how they’re going to give 30 days’ notice for a meeting that’s 29 days from tomorrow.

  3. Good for Terry to call Lora out on this crap.
I remember her complaining about having her republican precinct committee position taken away from her after she switched parties, like it was some sort of conspiracy, as if not being a Republican weren’t reason enough.
So now she will complain that she was deprived of her Constitution Party chair position for the silly reason that she’s not a registered member of that party.
No matter how big or small a political party is, one must respect its right to restrict voting rights and candidacies to its own members.

  4. I know what’s going on. Lora claims membership in whatever party suits her at the moment, and she can’t figure out why that doesn’t work.

      1. Anne, Lora never switched parties when she ran as an Independent…just like Jenna H.

  5. One person that has changed several times more than Lora is the President.

  6. With all due respect, is there something wrong with these people? If they can’t run a proper convention how can they run the government of South Dakota? Something is not right here. It’s some amateurish.

    1. Right- but Lora is dragging down a 3rd option as a whole party… she’s a sand trap and sucks everyone else down who ventures into the cone of death.

Even her association brings a shadow of doubt to the party due to her own actions. She does the same thing to you Tara… you just haven’t been woke yet! Get Woke Tara!

This really is about her words, her actions, and her choices.

      1. You can’t go by what you read on the blogs or gossip and hearsay. Does she have flaws???? Of course. But don’t we all? I use to feel the same way about her until I met her and got to know her. I think you folks are a little hard on her. But I guess that’s your choice.

  7. If Lora was an independent or member of the CP, and not a Republican when she was running for Governor and then Senator, she really misrepresented herself on the Lincoln Day Dinner circuit, and should not have had her name on the Republican primary ballot.
If she is registered as an independent or a Republican she is not eligible to serve as the CP chair. This is not a conspiracy theory. Nobody is out to get her. She needs to clean up this mess, pick a party (or none) and stick with it.

  8. Check her registration over the last few years and you will see for yourself. She never was an Independent.
