I looked at that mailer, read the story about how the family of a murder victim encountered the killer after he made bail, and wondered why notification of his release would have improved the situation.
I think the problem was that the suspect was released, not that they didn’t know about it.
Why would knowing he’d been released have made it easier to run into him at a store?
