There are literally too many things to say about this list. I’d start but don’t have the hr needed to finish. 12-16% in primary is the end result.

How did they decide Lora Hubbel could not make the cut? Where was the crazy cutoff point? Is she like a “Shadow” campaign adviser with Willard?

  2. SDJammer

That is an impressive team with a lot of good hard working conservatives on it. I think it will do a very good job for Representative Nelson.

It’s a good list unless you know these people personally and then it’s a list of all of those people who are on the extreme fringes of their areas political parties.

      1. SDJammer

I do know some of these people personally and the ones that I know are solid citizens and very good people. Therefore, I will completely discount what you say about the people who I don’t know on the list since I know what you said is not accurate.

Some pretty odd bed fellows… Including 2 lawyers (Russell and Tornow) who have been recently disciplined by the SD Supreme Court and a former candidate for gov that didn’t pay his property taxes.

Dr. Bosworth is clearly the best candidate to take on Rounds. Stace should step aside and endorse her.

And Tonchi Weaver- a person who wears a “Free Dr. Picard” button. Dr. Picard is the RC doctor who got 5 years in jail for tax evasion. Tonchi thinks he was innocent and that the IRS is at fault. I wonder if Stace agrees with her. I bet Howie does.

I also see Eldon Stahl was working for the John Birch society. Is Stace a Bircher?

This team reveals a lot about Stace. He is surrounding himself with a lot of people who have little regard for the law… But I guess that shouldn’t surprise us considering his admitted role in the attack robocall scandal.

I agree, Dr. Bosworth is a much better candidate.

So far as I know Stace isn’t part of the JBS. But the insinuation in the question is that there is something to be ashamed of for those who are. Back in the 60’s and 70’s the Society was called and accused of everything you can imagine that is undesirable to most thinking people. This was such a gross misrepresentation of the facts that people who remember those times often have a tough time admitting that they bought into huge lies and distortions by people they trusted in the media. In my experience they are reluctant to even bring up the subject with people they know are in the Society because the reality they see before their eyes is so far from what they can plainly see that it’s simply embarrassing. I would encourage anyone who really wants to learn about what the JBS is and does to visit the web site, get an info packet, and try to do their own investigation. I think you’ll find it’s a very valuable organization for our country and that there is no reason for someone like Stace to try to distance himself from its members; of course he’s his own man and agrees on some issues and disagrees on others with the JBS.

Excuse me, it should have been, “the reality before their eyes is so far from what they had been led to believe that it is simply embarrassing.” Sorry about that. A little proofreading helps 🙂

This team clearly makes Bosworth the number 2 contender in my opinion. Some of these folks have too much baggage in the closet. This list hurt more than it helps Nelson.

Wouldn’t that be nice for Rounds? Che-loving Bosworth and her Con Artist husband sure make Nepotism Rounds look squeaky clean by comparison.

Nelson is in the race months after Bosworth & Rhoden and he comes out with a pretty good frame work of a campaign team across SD, candidates who cannot even field more than their wife/husband, sister/brother-in-law, and a paid staffer at events? Anyone who claims this is a negative is simply eating sour grapes. The first step in getting support from national groups is showing them that you actually have a campaign up an running. These are some of the hardest working Republican activists in the state, anonymous blogging wont win this race, but activists working hard for a candidate will. Having so many people working on his campaign that are associated with libertarian & tea party groups? These are the people that get involved in campaigns that win elections.

How many of these people were Ron Paul supporters during the last Presidential race? How did he fair in South Dakota against moderate Mitt Romney? These people aren’t bad people but they are in the Howie, Paul type crowd those folks will not find success in this race. Dr. Boz is the one who has a real chance in this thing. She’s gaining steam while only using a few people to help her out. That speaks volumes, I don’t see any other candidate getting any media attention right now.

Stace needs to show a broader base of support. Right now I could point out the 5 people who are supporting him in every major county and they are all Ron Paul or Gordon Howie supporters.

  6. Anonymous

So Bosworth & Rhoden have been in the race for a lot longer than Nelson, have no statewide support, but Nelson is somehow lacking for having statewide support?

Stace hates moderates. And guess what…he can’t win the general election without them. His venom turns off 85% of republicans off. The other 15% will patrol this blog. His 9 minutes of quasi fame will soon be up.
