AFP South Dakota Responds to the State of the Union Address
President’s “Robin Hood Plan” An Unserious Fairy Tale

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Americans for Prosperity South Dakota Director Ben Lee issued the following statement in response to President Obama’s State of the Union address:

“In tonight’s speech, the President made it clear he isn’t serious about addressing the biggest problems our nation is facing. The President’s tax-the-rich “Robin Hood” plan ignores a clear mandate from voters that rejected Obama’s big-government fairy tale in favor of real reforms that create jobs and opportunity for everyone.

His plan would raise taxes on job creators and hurt economic growth. If the economy is recovering as the President says it is, then why is the country’s workforce the smallest it’s been in 37 years? The President’s proposals are more of the same tax-and-spend policies that, over the last 6 years, have failed to create wealth and opportunity for everyday Americans.

AFP South Dakota will be focusing on real efforts to create prosperity for all Americans which includes restoring the 40 hour work week, ending the gas tax, approving the Keystone Pipeline, preventing Medicaid expansion and cutting government spending.”

  1. The odor of embalming fluid is the reason none of the millions of disenfranchised voters, the people who have been denied the right to vote, were in the gallery.

I like the idea if free community college. Immediately I looked to see what I can take at Kilian. They have a history program I want to take. Who cares if I’m 65, retired, and I’ve already got two college degrees? I’m bored, and it’s raining money!

  2. Hah. Seems like the voters do like the Robin Hood mandate-majority raised min wage much to Republican chagrin.

  3. The United States wad founded by the financial and intellectual elite. Jefferson, Franklin, Washington, all very intelligent, all benevolent, and all wealthy. This is what we desperately need, and the voters sent a clear message of support. Job creators are vitally important to our well being, and we should actually exempt them from our tax code. I am not being disengenuous, but speak the plain language of my faith.

  4. Apples grow well on trees with strong roots, thick bark, and heavy limbs. Damage any of those three necessities and crop failure is eminent. Robobama would have you believe by cutting off the branches and spreading them around apples will grow. Such insanity.

    1. What about putting all your apples in one basket? Oh wait, that’s eggs… Never mind. 😉

  5. Haha. AFP representative responsible for a clear response to the speech must have nodded off. Missed just a little bit of it apparently.

I have a feeling the next two years are going to be fun to watch. No worries, though. Hillary will be a lot easier to work with.
