Release: Brown County State’s Attorney Chris White Endorses Jackley

Brown County State’s Attorney Chris White Endorses Jackley

ABERDEEN, SD: Attorney General Marty Jackley is Brown County’s choice for governor, says State’s Attorney Chris White in a new endorsement video released today.

“As state’s attorney, I’m looking for a governor with conservative credentials, a solid relationship with law enforcement, and a vision to move South Dakota forward,” White said. “Marty’s been a conservative his entire life, he’s been endorsed by 62 county sheriffs, and he’s shown us he’s a collaborative leader who listens. For my family and the people of Brown County, he’s the best choice to lead our state.”

White became Brown County’s chief prosecutor in 2017 after serving as the county’s chief deputy state’s attorney. He lives in Aberdeen with his wife Jamie and their three children.

“We’re humbled by the outpouring of support we’ve seen in Brown County from community leaders like Chris,” Jackley said. “This race is really about our kids and grandkids—the next generation of South Dakotans—and with Chris on Team Jackley, I’m confident we can build a safer and more prosperous future for all of us.”

  1. Why aren’t any of these great states attorney’s running for AG?

White and Wollman should be running.

    1. Does Marty have all 66 State’s Attorney supporting him again for governor like they did for attorney general?

  2. I’m surprised any State’s Attorneys would endorse Jackley with the meth epidemic we have in SD. Or maybe they’ll all endorse him for job security. We’ve seen an increase year after year of meth related crimes in Sioux Falls since Jackley’s been AG.

    1. Meth is clearly an issue created by lax federal enforcement. Meth just isn’t created in South Dakota anymore. Meth houses have all but disappeared since Marty took over. Now all the Meth comes from the porous border to our South.

Mexican gangs are finding strong foot holds on the reservations, and the drugs spill out from there. Many Natives are afraid to speak out, because federal prosecutions are so lacking, and law federal enforcement presence is next to nill on the reservations.

If the Krisi trolls are so up in arms about Meth in South Dakota, they should ask their boss why she has done LESS THAN NOTHING to help stem the tide federally, which is clearly where the problem comes from. She is the classic politician… throws mud at everyone else and keeps clean by literally doing nothing about what she complains.

      1. Pump those brakes, Nony, you are saying something I said months ago. Thing is I was dismissed because I didn’t cite a source. The cartel has made their appearance on the reservation and Natives are afraid to speak out. If they do and the Mexicans catch wind of it, life won’t go so well for Natives. I’m reassured someone else is familiar with what I know too. Eventually someone will listen.

        Build the Wall.

  3. What is Jackley going to do about meth as Governor. All 3 candidates running for Attorney General have criticized Jackley for the rise in meth in South Dakota.

  4. Chris is a law enforcement officer’s best promoter of the Rule of Law in every case. This is a huge endorsement for Marty.

    1. Just looked and I read about 2 murder trials he’s prosecuted. He’s more than qualified to run for AG. What is he waiting for? Save the GOP!

  5. I have heard he’d like to be the next Attorney General after whoever wins this year.

If he is smart he will stay out and not endorse anyone in the AG race this year and just bide his time and build up his record.

How old is mr. White he looks pretty young yet?

    1. He’d win if he ran. So would Wollmann or Vargo. Real prosecutors with real experience who obviously can actually speak publicly. Legitimate prosecutors who could fill Marty’s shoes.

Its not the years, it’s the mileage. He’s got more experience than one of the candidates running.

  6. South Dakota’s meth problem has increased while Marty Jackley was Attorney General that’s not the leadership we need from our next Governor.

    1. That’s lame. But follow it through.

90% of meth is transferred into SD from other states and foreign countries. That’d make it a federal issue, right? What’s Noem done about the drug crisis other than send out a tweet?

  7. Woo hoo, love seeing Team Noem in overdrive trying to spin this. Law enforcement coming out in droves to support Jackley puts a wrench into Kristi’s phony narratives.

Even the northeast is proving to be Jackley country, time to cut the life support on Noem’s “campaign”

  8. Didn’t the million dollar lawsuit for sexual harassment of Marty’s DCI agents come from this area? Another good reason NOT to support Jackley style leadership for Governor. His tenure as Attorney General is full of scandals: EB5, GearUp…

    1. What I want to know is why is Gortmaker still the head of DCI after that lawsuit?

Someone needs to be held accountable for that 1.2M verdict against the state.
