Rumor alert: a primary challenger for Soholt?

I heard a rumor today… And don’t classify this as anything but…  But I had someone tell me they’d heard that there could be a primary challenger for State Senator Deb Soholt. And one name that was brought up was really, really interesting.

It was a name that had been brought up in the past for various offices: Leslee Unruh.

As a grassroots organizer, and not unknown in Sioux Falls, Leslee could potentially be very formidable.

But, there’s no indication at this point that it’s something that’s going to actually happen. Just part of the background chatter that pops up from time to time.

  1. Deb Peters is probably on a list to be primaried also. I think Unruh will be a very strong candidate and probably the favorite. I think the High School Activities Association Transgender bill is going to be a big issue this next year.

This from an outside observer looking in.

  2. If Leslee runs against Soholt, Leslee will be strongly supported in votes and funds from pro-life circles. Soholt’s record on life is horrible. Deb Peters needs to go too.

  3. Keep it up wackos, soon we will have a legislature of the wackos for the wackos by the wackos.

  4. Soholt and Peters would be interesting if they lost. I’d bet anything they would change to their true parties and run, as democrats. I wonder if Joni Cutler is registered as a democrat now.
