  1. you know Kristi is nervous when she starts acting like Hillary “isn’t it time for a woman governor/president.” I thought Billie was the one who was like Hillary!

  2. OK, I voted for Krisit, but it had nothing to do with her gender. On my list of qualifications, that is not even on the radar.

    1. Are you a moderate Republican woman with young daughters? If not you may not be the target for this ad.

      1. No, I am not. And if a woman voted for someone because of her gender, that would be sad. I really hate the fact that should Kristi Noem win it would be historic. But as Rush said when Obama was elected. The historic part was over after about an hour.

  3. Hillary Clinton has a better chance. Men in S.D. will never vote for a woman in enough numbers.

    1. Disagree. Hillary chances are between slim and none and slim has left the station. She had her chance and could not convert.

  4. I voted for Kristi. After watching this video, I wish I hadn’t. Identity politics such as gender and race are manipulative and exploitative. They are tools routinely used by the left. I despise when Democrats do it. I won’t accept it from one of my own.

    1. During the primary Kristi complained to CNN that some people wouldn’t vote for her because she doesn’t have the right “parts”. Basically, she was saying that it was unfair for someone to use her gender as justification for voting against her. Now she wants people to vote for her because it’s time for someone with girl parts, blatantly saying that people should vote for her BECAUSE of her gender. In both arguments she essentially labels as sexist anyone who doesn’t vote for her. Of course she doesn’t actually say it in so many words. In fact, she doesn’t say it at all; she uses children for that.

Kristi Noem reminds me far more of Hillary Clinton than Margaret Thatcher.

          1. So? She probably thought it was cute too. I did. So did a lot of people. People like you are the ones that have made this “gender” bs a constant forefront in everything. And btw.. at this point, this ad is just a cute ad. Everyone already knows Noem is more qualified and the more experienced to handle the job anyway.

    2. Oh geezzzz…. heaven forbid an ad that has little girls aspiring to something that many probably never really thought they could do. Stop being so dramatic people.

      1. The ad clearly emphasizes and promotes gender based identity politics. We complain when Hillary does it. Why would we be okay with Kristi doing it?

    3. Wow. That’s really sad of you. Because you don’t like an enjoyable little video about the history of women’s suffrage and the moment we’re about to elect a new governor who happens to be a very successful woman, you’d risk handing over control the modern day Democrats?

    1. Is that what passes for reasonable discourse on the Noem Campaign, call those who disagree with you crybabies? Is that how Kristi will interact with the legislature when they disagree with her?

  5. The reason why this ad is so good is that it teaches the point that girls can grow up to do anything a boy can do. As a father of daughters, this is a message of empowerment that happens to also be quite powerful.

  6. Anyone complaining about gender politics above has got to be from the left. I’ve never known a female conservative who would be offended by this or think this was politically generated. Secondly, it just so happens that it’s the anniversary. What timing.

And lastly, it wasn’t the campaign that published it and I’m no expert but I don’t believe there can be collusion on ads.

  7. Looking forward to a big WIN for NOEM! And when she does become governor, hopefully the Pierre schools will change their team names to the Governors and Boy Governors. Or better yet, just have every team be called the Governors!

  8. Billie voted for Hillary. Kristi acts like Hillary. I wish I had a better candidates to choose between.
