That’s what happens when your leftwing staffers start voting for you. I suppose somebody needs to keep that seat warm.

Maybe Varilek will run on his “experience” voting for Senator Tim Johnson? I think that might be a winning platform…

It is long past time to put a wedge between voters and zero’s like Johnson. Provide swing voters another common reason to stay with the home field candidate.

I AM A ANTI ABORTION PERSON MOST LIKELY BEFORE HALF THE WRITERS OF THIS BLOG WERE OUT OF DIAPERS. THE ONLY SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM IS TO CHANGE SOCIETY. LAWS AND VOTES DO NOT CHANGE SOCIETY BUT A SLOW STEADY STREAM OF GOOD VALID THINKING CAN CHANGE SOCIETY.

WE HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ALL THE PEOPLE NOT JUST THE RICH AND POWERFUL. IT SEEMS THAT IF THE RICH AND POWERFUL REALLY WANT TO WIN THE ABORTION ISSUE THEY NEED TO SELL A BETTER WAY NOT JUST ATTEMPT TO MAKE SOME LOOK BAD AND OTHERS GOOD.

THE POWERFUL ARE MORE WORRIED ABOUT WINNING THAN SELLING THE ANTI ABORTION ISSUE…… COULD WE CALL IT A CROUCH???

Anon 11:18 pm – My area is filled with pro-birth voters. Still they vote for Democrats that claim to be pro-life. Candidates that say abortion is ok for rape and incest are no different that pro-death candidates. Pro-exception candidates merely claim a higher moral ground in their selectivity.

      Bruce,

I wish you’d have gotten more help from Thune back in ’06. You are an impressive guy. Keep up the great work!
