  1. His donors moving to someone else (Rubio, Kasich?) will be the biggest impact this has. He didn’t have much standing in the polls anymore but he had financial backing. Someone else will be able to attract those donors to help them compete.

  2. With Perry & Walker making early exits, may I suggest that all other GOP hopefuls polling less than 3% do the same? All those in the early debate should realize, there will be no more “Pre-Debate” debates for them.

  3. Walker was a non-issue and in fact was hurting the party with his weak performance in Wisconsin. He is not a guy who should be the Republican party’s standard bearer.

Still Donald Trump as the party’s leader.

  4. walker did a great job as wisconsin governor and should do as much more of it as he can. not everyone should run for president, most running now don’t show us that they’ve got a plan for governing if they win, just that they know the right position to adopt at this moment. i have said before and i’ll say again a person who has demonstrated this sense of how he’ll perform duties of the office he wins, is senator mike rounds. lots of people reading this love to hate on the man, but he consistently shows a solid ability to lead, and more importantly, a proven sense of navigating difficult politics to come out on the winning side.

  5. Two things:

1). Walker burst on the scene with some landmark proposals, got target extend for recall, and ended up being elected THREE times in four years in a purple state. On paper, a potential transformational President.

2). Walker is also what we often see too often. A pol who bursts on the scene and too many people hang their hopes on him without being really tested for the big leagues.

Personally, he was on my short list of choices up until the first debate when I realized he just isn’t ready. I am sorry to see he is no longer a candidate but see the wisdom.

He needs to go back to Wisconsin, do great things for the people of Wisconsin for three more years, and then assess his next opportunity.

Thanks Governor. It might feel like you failed but one never knows what can come from the ashes.
