Someone wants round 2.. Heidelberger to run for State Senate against Al Novstrup

Looks like someone didn’t lose by enough last time. After taking a class on how to win an election from Ann Tornberg a week ago…

..the word tonight is that Cory Heidelberger is now full of confidence (or full of something) and getting up on that horse again as he prepares to take another electoral defeat at the hands of Al Novstrup in the District 3 State Senate Race.

This should be entertaining.

    1. Tornberg should go too. She’s terrible. Billie Sutton needs to take the lead and get legit candidates and leaders.

        1. If you do not go with Cory’s agenda of self promotion you will be banned and attacked on DFP.

  1. it will be fun to see what conspiracy theory he will invent about Al; probably starting with “his name isn’t really Al, it must be an abbreviation for something. What’s he hiding?”

Lora and Stace will have to investigate.

    1. Stace can search for Al’ s original birth certificate and Lora can stage a re-enactment of his birth

  2. A class on winning elections by Ann Tornberg- now that’s funny!

How many times has Tornberg lost a legislative race? 3 or 4?

I guess the saying is true about those that can’t do, teach.

  3. I don’t mind that he is running but democrats shouldn’t settle for him.

Really? In a town of 25,000 people this is what you are ok with?

    1. They should of been able to recruit an established and well respected Democrat to run in place of Heidelberger. Problem is he and the nutty ones have driven many Dems away from the party and any involvement. Some are just plain opportunists using a broken party like the one running down in Hanson County.

  4. Looks like Michael Traxinger seated on the right side. Good guy, an attorney, farmer/rancher and smart. He is the kind of candidate the Dems need to push.

  5. Anne: I’d like to welcome everyone to our official candidate training! It is great that we have so many newcomers and Cory Heidelberger is here for remedial candidate training today. Welcome!

Anne: Cory my special assignment for you today is to write 100 times > I Need to be more likeable and not walk into a room and act like I am the smartest person in the room. Got that Cory?

Cory: Yes Anne as Cory writes his instructions down and proceeds with his assignment as the class watches Cory.

    Anne: New candidates let’s begin……….

  6. Pat I don’t believe any amount of remedial candidate classes will help Cory. You just can’t help someone who thinks he knows it all and just annoys the heck out of people in Brown County. He has his boot lickers but they are few and far between. Prediction is the same result.

    1. “I believe we should be searching the people who look like the people who committed the crimes” of 9/11.

It’s the very definition of racist, Mr. Sibson.

      1. Racism:
        noun
        1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human racial groups determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one’s own race is superior and has the right to dominate others or that a particular racial group is inferior to the others.
        2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
        3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.

        Sorry, wrong again, Ike.

        1. Wrong? For god’s sake man, it’s right there in your own damn definition! One’s own race is superior and has the right to dominate others or that a particular racial group is inferior to the others.” WTF do you think ‘searching everyone who looks like the people who committed 9/11’ is – just being neighborly? Bullshit. You’re treating people based on how they look differently – and as though they are criminals – only because of how they look. Racist. Pure. Simple.

          1. It’s the Dictionary definition not mine. I’m not sure how Novstrup basically stating we should be looking for Islamic terrorists in the most likely groups is racist. I don’t see anywhere from Novstrup an intent to dominate or a statement that one race is superior or not. I’m not treating people differently as I don’t make the laws. I’m simply commenting on Novstrup’s statement.

I understand you use vulgarities to make yourself feel better, but it shows your inability to accept any other viewpoint without becoming crass. Try to grow up a bit.

            1. It’s RACIST because you’re using RACE to determine whom to suspect and whom to let go. End. Of. Sorry my vulgarity pisses you off. You really should grow a thicker skin.

            1. Steve those internment camps are going to fill up real quick. Should we start out with Mitchell? 15,700 people? Are you volunteering to be first?

              1. Hey, the President who actually implemented internment camps was a liberal icon, FDR. The Dems own that one.

  7. Steve,

You are correct Radical Islamists come in all colors. So, what is Novstrup talking about when he said “I believe we should be searching the people who look like the people who committed the crimes” of 9/11 said in context of doing searches going into a rodeo.

What does a radical Islamist look like?

    1. If you listen to my testimony. I define what not to look for.
A 85 year old great grandmother who has lived her entire life in Peever SD most likely doesn’t look like a terrorist and most likely is not a terrorist and should have less screening than some one who matches a terrorist profile.
Heidelberger’s calling my testimony racist was racist because he jumped to the bigoted conclusion that members of a race look more like terrorist than members of another race. An outrageous racist idea of Heidelberger’s.

      1. Stephen Paddock didnt look anything like those guys who did 9/11. Now what? Racial profiling IS racism. Innocent people should NOT be under any more scrutiny than Granny Knutson from Peever just because of their skin color.

  8. I listened to your testimony which I found despicable. If it is what is truly of your heart, you live in a very dark place.

    1. I didn’t find it despicable…….Troy do you define the President despicable?

  9. Heidelberger could’nt win a school board election (in his home town) when he ran for a seat on that! How does he think he can win at anything bigger? But then maybe it had to do with his getting fired as a teacher at the same school for inappropriate contact with students.

  10. Tara,

Of course not. I agree with the President’s goals on significantly reducing illegal immigration, reforming who is eligible for legal immigration, and refugees. And, not once has the President advocated an immigration or refugee policy based on how one looks. I wish you hadn’t reminded me of that repugnant testimony in defense of this bill.
