Starting this Friday – SDWC from Washington, DC!

Starting on Friday, July 5th, SDWC (South Dakota’s #1 political website) will be coming to you straight from our great nation’s capitol in Washington DC as I make my annual pilgrimage to our seat of government!

It will be a little lower key visit, since most everyone of our delegates in Washington will be here in South Dakota as I’m there over the Congressional 4th of July holiday break. But, I might get to catch someone briefly on Tuesday when I’m wandering around on the hill.  Plus, I have other great activities going on that I’ll report back in on.

I’m just a little disappointed I can’t be there for the 4th, and the most from that celebration I’ll get to see is everything from the celebration being dismantled at best.  But there’s still loads to do, and a number of exhibits to catch.  (And maybe some fish & chips I haven’t sampled.)

Enjoy your 4th of July, and I’m looking forward to making my reports from inside the beltway!

  1. Mr. PP, please blog a bit about your tour of the pubs and such. It is always a highlight to some of us.

  2. I found no exceptional fish or chips during my last visit (April), but I located a nice Foggy Bottom bar. Its owner — former cop — is a stealth conservative, flying under the swamp radar. We drained a few cold pints & found solutions to the worlds’ problems. Spoiler alert: prompt execution of child molesters –> step one. Outside, on the crowded street, pink-haired kids from George Washington U (tuition $55,000/ year) protested that their school sports team name, the Colonials, is too racist.
