The President….he's just like us

The Obamas toured Westminister Abbey yesterday and signed the guest book with a very nice sentiment….only thing wrong was the date he wrote under his signature — May 24, 2008….I usually have this problem when writing checks in January.  I’m usually over it by February and usually I’m only off by a year…..but it’s still nice to know I’m not the only one who fumbles the date once in a while.

Probably trying to get the magic back from 2008. As far as things look for him 2008 was better than 2010 or 2011.

I’ve always had a problem writing checks on December 7. I have to stop myself consciously from writing “Dec. 7, 1941.”

In 1941, I had not yet been born.

    How-EVER!

Sometimes have “deja-vu” thingies about being alive in Germany during the 1930s. I remember in particular the general sense of optimism, and the architecture.

    Doo-doo-DOO-doo, doo-doo-DOO-doo …

Moses according to you, no one would beat him. One problem Obama has is that he really can’t run on anything. Sure he got Osama, but how does that help me put food on the table? He is very weak in the pocket book issues. That is what Americans will be voting for in 2012. Any Republican candidate can push these issues, not to mention how he has screwed up foreign policy, and make it a close election. To win in 2012, Obama MUST carry everyone of the Democrat states that Kerry and Gore did and win Indiana, North Carolina, and Florida. To do that agian in 2012 is going to be very difficult. Those three state vote Republican, that switches 53 electoral votes to the Republican. A combination of that and how the census of 2010 gave traditional Republican states a extra seven votes, I think, it is going to be a very tough road for Obama. I am not saying that he can’t win. A lot can happen between now and November of 2012.

Actually I went to and watched the video again. ” We have campainged in 57 states with 2 to go”. So the brilliant obama thinks there are 59 states.

Here is the problem I have with this whole date thing. If Bush did the same thing, CNN & MSNBC would be doing stories about it. Letterman would Top Ten list after Top Ten list of Bush getting the date wrong. Leno’s whole monalogue would be about the date. Saturday Night Live would be doing commical story after story about Bush. But with Obama, nothing.

And let’s not leave out what would have happened if Ronald Reagan had done that! We would have been hearing all sorts of things about dementia, etc.

wah, wah, wah. Maybe that’s because Obama’s doing it doesn’t fit the “stupid” meme as well as it does the “decider.” With Barak it’s an anomoly, with W, it’s just par for the course. Another clue in a mountain of similar evidence.

With Obama it is a anomoly? This man has said stupid things, 57 states, the date, not understanding economic matters and many other things. Listen Bill, I don’t mind that he said those things. We are not perfect. As is the matter I have with most Democrats, you don’t deny my point. Just don’t say that Bush was stupid and not back it up with anything. Every president has said dumb things. You cannot say that the coverage in the media is different with Obama than what it was with Bush.

Bill, once again you are missing my point which is the problem I have with people like you. You never deny my point about media coverage between Bush and Obama. I never said Bush said some stupid things. Every president has said dumb things. My point is how it is covered by the media. Liberals, escuse me Progressives, are to blind to see that difference along with how much this president is in over his head.. Much like Presidents Carter, Harding and Wilson.

I know what your point is (if not your name.) Your point is absurd. How do you think you even know about any of Obama’s gaffes? The problem with ‘people like you’ my friend is that you tend to be myopic, humorless and prone to overgeneralize. 😉

No Bill. I think it was a supposed to be a lighthearted reminder of just how human we all are. We all make some silly mistakes, well all of us except you and The One. So when you bring up how “dumb” President Bush is/was, it only makes a person think about some of the quotes and gaffes committed by The One. We now know he does not know how to deliver a toast. We now know we have 57 states. I could go on, but frankly, I am more worried about what The One is doing to our country than his gaffes.

Comments only are removed if they are offensive or obscene or if they are just gibberish. If comments were removed for making anyone uncomfortable there would probably be no comments at all.

Bill, Obama has more gaffs than Bush, the only reason we don’t get to see them is the liberal snews media doesn’t want to insult the beloved.
