Thune reporting nearly 11 million on hand

From the Argus:

Sen. John Thune raised about $850,000 in the second quarter of this year, his campaign is reporting. The campaign ended the second quarter with $10.9 million in the bank.

Read it here.

So far, no takers, and no one credible being suggested.

Are dems going to give Thune a second bye?

  1. My guess is the Dems just need a name on the ballot and they will have that. They would get 30-35% with a no name dem.

What they really need is someone who will run against Noem that is energetic and articulate. Honestly Aaron McGowan would be a good candidate for US Congress.

    1. the candidate could be the equivalent of daniel webster and albert einstein; if they actually run as a democrat they’ll lose.

  2. That is alot of special interest money. I wonder if that is why he gave Obama legislative authority on the TPA? Daschle became nothing but a political prostitute. Too bad.

  3. Thune is hands down the greatest legislator that South Dakota has ever had. We are lucky to have him and I will keep voting for him as long as he continues to run. In fact, the quilting ladies and I just put another check in the mail to help him out. God Bless John Thune.

  4. Norbeck, Case, Rifle. There have been some very good ones. Voting for liberal judges and granting Obama legislative powers is not leadership.

  5. It seems like he’s gotten Potomac Fever and jumped in bed with McConnell. If this keeps up, maybe he should have a challenge from the right. At least there would be a valid discussion of the real issues facing this country.

  6. Thune is a creature of Washington. He’ll do what he must to keep the politically connected content and he’ll make public appearances to make himself appear relatable, but John’s an Oligarch.
