USD College GOP poll prefers Dusty Johnson to Krebs in Congressional race 82% – 15%

From the University of South Dakota College Republican group, a poll conducted over the last weekend or so via Twitter had a somewhat lopsided result:

  1. The youngsters love Dusty.

It is hard to know how many of them will show up to vote, though.

  2. At one time most people believed the polls that had Hillary as our 45th President.

I will wait until the votes are counted.

    1. So you are saying that there is no electoral college when it comes to a congressional run, huh? Because the polls in 2016 were actually right when it comes to the popular vote…..

      1. It probably depends on how much time the candidates spend with the college students.

Dusty has put a focus on them. Krebs and Tapio I doubt have. Youth don’t vote. Dusty wants to change that so have a lot of people before him. I doubt it benefits him outside of parades.

      2. The founders saved us from 4 years of Hillary. Thanks very much, and I mean that!

  3. Ms. Krebs is just crazy hyper and nuts, so the kids are the type that like a young man like Mr. Dusty. I know the face painting Ms. Krebs does on all her pictures also really anger a lot of the young people who today like the real full Monte, or “Kreb” as they say.

Give me the full “Kreb”, or give me no Kreb at all.

  4. Dusty probably made sure the doors to the huge freight elevator were open when the poll started to make sure his people voted in time…. “Learn from the Yankton Daily Press and Dakotan poll!”…….

  5. The fact that Dusty spent and spends a lot of time working with the Teen-age Republicans might have something to do with this result.

  6. How many people took the poll, was it a few hundred or 20, 30, 40? It makes a difference what the size of the respondents is, since a small number can really be skewed by just a few votes. It would be nice if those doing the poling would tell us the number of those voting. But then, in some cases a feeble response would show the insignificance of group doing the polling.

    1. I don’t see Dusty trying to use it in fundraising to convince people he’s winning like Shantel did with the Yankton newspaper poll.

How cutely naive of you, I guarantee he does (thats basically what this blog post is already).

Also, where is the open outrage and mockery of an online twitter poll like there was last week when the exact same organization did a poll in the exact same manner but had 3x the respondents and Nome on top?

  7. Dusty is far and away the better candidate. He’s out working Shantel and Neal – if you can’t see how obvious that is you should wake up.

He’s far more active on social media than his competitors, he’s more in the weeds on issues, and he’s out fundraising them as well.

He’s just a far better candidate-

    1. Will he resign from his elected position for a better appointed position, like he did when he was elected to PUC?

  8. People who start getting into personal appearance may find their comments went away. Can we be better than that?

    1. That’s rich coming from someone who features sketches that absolutely get “into personal appearances”. I guess it’s okay when it fits the narrative.

  9. We really need some candidates back with stashes. Male candidates of course. Dusty, Marty? LOL

    1. I think the smart move would be to keep our current LT GOV on as LT GOV no matter if Marty or Kristi wins, he runs the Senate very well and he is the stash candidate 🙂
