USD honored today. Sort of.

USD earned the honor today of being declared “Officially the most underrated party school in the country” today by the website “University Primetime.” And you can watch the video which earned them the honor here:

For politicos – John Thune parade cameo at 2:25.

Before I posted it, I had to watch it to make sure I didn’t have any kids in it, although by the looks of it, a lot of people’s kids are.

(And another reminder of why I can’t complain that they didn’t have digital cameras and social media yet when I went to SDSU. Shout out to any SDSU SAE members who remember the old MASH Bash with hard liquor!)

  1. Nothing, regarding student behavior, is too different from the past several decades. In the 70’s we avoided ‘exposure’ while now it is all about ‘exposure.’
The technology revolution rambles on, thanks for posting.

    1. No kidding! Like I said, I’m just glad digital cameras and social media weren’t around back when I went, leaving it all in the realm of unsubstantiated rumors, and legend.

  2. When I was at Augie, a rumor of what is now posted on Facebook earned one a visit to Dean of Men Pastor Pete’s office. If the first visit didn’t scare you straight, the second, after a call to your parents suggesting an allowance cut, had the desired effect.

P.S. Any inference I speak with personal direct knowledge is now in the realm of rumor and upon advice of counsel (also co-conspirators) prevent me from confirming or denying.

  3. Yes, I had no answer when my Dad asked about the line “teenage waste land” from the song Baba O’Riley on my Who’s Next album.
