Why, that has the potential to cut Stace Nelson’s next campaign in half.

From the Argus Leader:

South Dakota religious leaders are calling on state and federal officials to drop the insults on the campaign trail.

In a statement Tuesday, South Dakota Faith in Public Life, an interfaith coalition aimed at having respectful conversations about public issues, called on candidates and voters to stop the mean tweets and demonizing slogans.

“We are witnessing a dramatic loss of civility in public life,” the group wrote in a statement. “This is incompatible with our moral values as religious leaders and our democratic values as citizens.”

And..

The group advised against demonization of opposing candidates, scapegoating of groups of people, insulting language, shouting of hateful slogans or bullying the weak.

I’m just sayin’. 😉

  1. Now that the slogan “make America great again” has been declared hate speech and causes college students to retreat to safe rooms, I think it’s safe today that nobody cares about civility any more.

    1. Because it was an overblown response to a mildly humorous post. As is assuming anger on my part.

When inane off-topic comments pop up on my phone, I swipe them away, and go back to what I was doing. There’s no emotion involved.
