At today’s KCCR, I just caught that Democrats are picking their new statewide officers this month:
…Also on the meeting agenda is discussion of the Democratic State Central committee, set for September 21 in Sioux Falls. At the meeting, a new state chairperson and vice chairperson will be elected.
Democrats are becoming such an endangered species in this state, that they’ve removed the bounty from them west river, and biologists are trying to create new colonies of them next to prairie dog towns.
Will South Dakota Democrats stay the course they’ve set? Gosh, I hope so.
I say, that because the last two elections in South Dakota haven’t been very kind to them. The state democratic party has been on a downward spiral, and as opposed to portraying themselves as a different choice with similar values, they’ve gone “full liberal,” embracing every stereotype that middle America negatively views the Democratic party through.
