  1. I’m dumbfounded by the fact that Dusty chose to post this video to social media. It shows a lack of discernment and judgement.

    1. I bet you are one of those people who find fault with Trump’s condemnation of the New Zealand attack. Here is a congressman showing a human side. So often we put our representatives upon a pedestal and are afraid to approach them. This shows him to be approachable. Instead you find fault with it. If he pulls away, I bet you find fault with that as well.

    2. I’m dumbfounded by the fact that you chose to post this reply to Dakotawarcollege. It shows a complete lack of a sense of humor and an effete character.

    3. The man pictured in the clip is my father, Clint. Though he has Alzheimer’s, he still recognizes good and decent people when he sees them. Thank you Congressman Johnson…for taking the time to show support for those who no longer have a voice.

  2. let’s face it – he doesn’t look like Thune or speak like Rounds or have a press team similar to either. He’s a different type of politician. I mean- Kristi was notorious, especially during campaigns, of having some of the best social/video media regardless of races occurring. Dusty is just Dusty- but if a more flashy person challenges him with even a little bit of a media appeal… it could be an interesting race.

I’ll be curious to see what type of fundraising numbers he puts up when the first reports are posted. That will tell us a lot.

  3. It’s nice to have a politician who doesn’t take himself too seriously. People love Dusty because Dusty doesn’t act like he’s better than them.

  4. Btw, Dusty’s “walking Main Street” ad was the best of the cycle last year. I don’t know what “flashier media” would look like.
