The bus for the Libertarian candidate for president was at Homewood Suites hotel next to Williquors off the Louise St I-229 exit this am.

But, just like voting for a Libertarian, why would you waste a good coupon like that?

I don’t get the joke. Was the coupon for the hotel or the liquor store? How was the coupon wasted? By not being used? Do we vote with coupons?
While I tend to shop at Hyvee or JJ’s, Williqours offers a terrific selection. Had I a WL coupon, I’d use it.
Eh, any vote by a SD resident for president is essentially wasted. Those 3 electoral college votes are locked down R and don’t really give much purchasing power. Nice for a candidate to visit though.
Don’t throw your vote away with Libertarians, that just helps Democrats
I’m a Republican and I’ll be using my vote to vote for Jorgenson. Our country is being torn apart by partisan politics and we severely need a 3rd party to break the tie. Now, were I-say in a swing state, yeah I’ll vote for Trump every time. But Trump is going to take SD handily. Voting for Trump in a state as red as ours is the real waste of a vote, I’ll be investing my vote into eradicating the two-party system.

I don’t consider my vote for President Trump as a waste of a vote, and since it’s my vote and only my opinion of it matters I’ll vote proudly and know I’m doing what I can against the Socialist hordes.
Sadly there are other worth while ideas An candidates out here besides just the Republican/Democrats tickets. Their agendas don’t get heard because we are not middle of the road any more. This LEFT/RIGHT B.S IS getting old. USA will only stand if we work hard at democracy. Every year more An more laws/regulations get passed. What ever happened to living by the Golden Rule? We have met the enemy. And it is us.
A wasted vote is voting for something you don’t believe in. If you believe in Trump, your vote is not wasted by voting for him, same for Biden, and in our case, Jorgensen.
By saying a vote is wasted, you are admitting that we have a broken system that has not treated ANY other parties fairly.
Its amazing we can tell people to do what they believe in, but when it comes to politics we are not afraid to tear them down.
You are right its not a wasted vote but, the people whining about their vote not counting is because there are not enough Liberal Lunatics to make SD competitive so whether 10k people vote of 500k vote we lean heavily Republican anymore. I am thinking Trump receives 75+% of the vote this time vs the 65 he received in 2016. The logic is simple as Clinton was at least somewhat middle road Democrat and a much better candidate than Uncle Joe. The Democrats have overplayed their hand so badly on the riots, looting, and lawlessness, not to mention the impeachment debacle that Independents and Moderate Dems will not vote Democrat. The Dems know they are toast which is why this cheat by mail act was put in play. It’s the only way to win
