I doubt Dennert intends to run but he’s a great guy who would be a very strong and hard working candidate in district 1. He comes from a Democrat family and is well respected.
I would like to know which ying-yang decided to put a target on young Dennert’s back though by starting a public draft movement.
District 1 Democrats have gone unopposed since Lucas Lentsch lost in district 1’s senate race in 2008. Why draw attention to Dennert’s interest in an overly confident and lethargic democrat party? You know they would love nothing more than to squash young Dennert for not joining up with the party of his grandfather.
If I was Drew Dennert I would ask the person who started this draft movement to take the page down.
My guess is most of the Democrats in District one don’t know how to campaign so why let them know two years early that they might have a race? Bad strategy by whomever put this page together.
I’m hearing Stace is looking for his supporters from his Senate campaign to run for the state legislature to make one final push to stop common core in pierre. Anyone who voted in favor of common core they want to primary.
Drew is a strong Republican, by the way.
