Can South Dakota Democrats really claim any high ground if they don’t have any candidates whatsoever? Or are they just bringing a small helping of ‘weak sauce’ to the picnic of ideas?
“While Rounds and Borglum compete to cater to the far-right base of their party,” the SDDP noted, “Democrats will hold them accountable for their extreme position and do everything we can to put a strong infrastructure in place for our eventual nominee – a nominee who will fight to make sure every American has access to affordable health care and that our nation’s economy works for everyone, not just those at the top.”
and…
The SDDP did not reply to KELO.com News’ request if it knew of any declared or possible candidates who might challenge Rounds.
If Democrats ‘had it,’ they didn’t ‘bring it.’ And just threw pebbles as they gazed into the window of what a functioning political party looks like.
i sense that our state is preparing to “vote against its own self interest” again.
Vague-post much?
leftist activists often browbeat conservative rank-and-file with the charge that their loyalty to republicans means they always vote against the glorious bounty of government programs thy would get from democrats. that’s not vague, that’s a pretty common charge, especially when s.d. voters voted out a sitting senate majority leader.
