Congressman Dusty Johnson has A LOT of cash on hand as he moves into raising money for his Gubernatorial race, versus the Congressional race. But that Congressional account sure has a lot on hand.
In the past quarter, Dusty raised a total of $301,956.61 against $211,332.86 spent. Providing him a cash balance of $5,995,554.28 left over to conduct political activity with. Not a bad nest egg for other things.
Can someone remind me of the process to transfer this money from a federal account to a state account? Can it be done? Would he have to forward through PACs?
Write a check from one account to the other.
It’s that simple.
It’s over before it even starts. Money alone won’t buy a race. But high energy, good organization, and the right message will make sure that Dusty is the next Governor. He has effectively kept Rhoden and Jackley out. Big toby and Hansen will be footnotes this election year.

Money must buy something, otherwise the Hansonites would not have brought a bill last year to stop money from coming out of federal accounts. 🤔
Dusty will run a clean, principled, effective campaign as he always has. He has the right combination of vision, guts, energy and people skills to keep the best interests of South Dakotans in focus.
His primary opposition has no weapons but mudslinging, deception, negativism and an abysmal record of achievement, except in their own circles of false zealotry. They strut about claiming to represent the people, but truly they represent only their own thirst for power and control. They have no positive plan for anything mind you, just vitriol to rule, not govern.
