Uh, what? Unfortunately, it’s not an April Fools’ joke.
In case you haven’t read anything off-the-wall crazy today, a new group has been formed on Facebook, including several state legislators. And apparently, they want airplanes to be shot out of the sky:
“South Dakotans Against Chem Trails” – This group is for South Dakotans who oppose the use of poisonous chemical trails in our skies and are committed to advocating for legislation that would obligate the National Guard to shoot down these poison pushing planes dispersing chem trails.
I think we’ve dipped into crazy town at this point. So, who is the group advocating that aircraft be shot down, which would likely kill the pilots and crew?
That would be the State Director of the South Dakota Freedom Caucus. Along with some of her friends…
State Representative Dylan Jordan. State Representative Brandei Schaefbauer. State Representative Logan Manhart and State Senator Tom Pischke have all apparently clicked “Join Group” when presented with the manifesto that includes “obligate the National Guard to shoot down” airplanes.
ARE THEY KIDDING OR ARE THESE LEGISLATORS ACTUALLY THAT NUTS?
I have edited out most of the names, but J.F.C… we have 4 State Legislators advocating for airplanes to be shot out of the sky based on internet conspiracy theories?
Is this how bad some of our legislators have gotten? Good gosh.
Unbelievable! And here I thought with session being over there wouldn’t be much going on.
Gearing up for 2026! Buckle up! But watch out for those Chem trails! Anyone wanna take a side bet on how many bills regarding the issue will be brought?
It’s taking more and more to shock me, and this one did.
Although, it’s great postcard material.
Looked like a hoax at first read. But nope.
This is why they are suspicious of the balloons being launched out of Aberdeen. The building says National Weather Service on the outside but could that be cover for some secret nefarious operation tied to all the chemtrails? Could those balloons be dropping geoengineering chemicals? Viruses? Woke Mind Virus?
Go. Ask. It’s that simple.
What grudznick often says. “Insaner than most.”
How’s QAnon these days? Buncha dumb dumbs.
Action 4 Liberty in Minnesota? That Libertarian group is absolutely toxic there known for pushing crazy conspiracies with one past endorsed legislator Rep Erik Mortensen kicked out of two caucuses MNGOP & New Republicans (Libertarian this is defunct) having no staff at all. No one wanted to work with him and was eventually defeated.
Mort was a 1 term legislator. Here in South Dakota it’s different.
It’s like Lora Hubbel all over again.
Except somehow, less intelligent and more confident.
Condensation trails. I’ve been staring straight up at them my whole life. I am doomed. F#@k.
Brian Lewis political director for Dakota First Action.
This has got to be April fools right? Right!?
Chem trails? Are you sure loony larry Kurt’s isn’t involved in this somehow?
This is straight up Larry Kurtz’s lane. He was always into crazy chemtrails, time travel assassins responsible for JFK’s death and other weird off the wall conspiracies.
grudznick’s close personal friend Lar is paying attention to this, do not fear.
Be careful talking about Loony Larry. He may contact his time-traveler friends and they will go back 15 years into the past and kill you. And then here you will be, not knowing you died 15 years ago…
Is it true that Pischke is running for state auditor and so is David Baranco?
The morgellans have eaten their brains
South Dakota, this is your wake up call!
I hear they started a petition! https://forms.gle/532buMsuwqMiRNt26
This is an audacious level of stupidity.
And from what I’ve seen on Facebook they’ve just kept going. Now calling out Pat and War College in multiple comment sections.
Imagine being so stupid, and having an ego SO BIG, that you just keep digging, and digging, and digging… But hey, at this rate, maybe Brandei’s hole will reach China, then she can hand deliver her “lawsuit”.
Happy to stand back and give them the rope. What’s the saying about being silent and being thought a fool… ?
Absolutely nothing those nitwits, Brandei and Logan, do or say surprises me. I hope they keep digging their own graves cuz the death of their political career will come quickly.
They are the best thing that happened to the Dems getting a couple seats in the next ele tion
It is not just them but Reder, Novstrup, Perry and others in the area. Did Brandei ever have an excuse for not attending the last legislative coffee?
Reder is a placeholder …Perry is a wishy washy wannabe somebody..Novstrup..well he is just a rube..
I look forward to seats turning over in D1 and D3 in 2026
There is a substantial number of Districts that need to be purged. A dozen or so good, intelligent legislators were removed and replaced with anti-South Dakota boneheads.
She had to wear allegiance to the new Reich SDGOP, she nor Logan could miss the state central committee meeting and elections! Priorities, people!
Also word on the street is that the Brown Co Dems are actually getting their ducks in a row.
Maybe Al shouldn’t have challenged that young lady to run against him if she didn’t like the way he handles constituent relations, after all…
Shad Olson, Tara Volesky, Larry Kurtz, a former Libertarian congressional candidate with a bunch of other Libertarians in there. Birds of a feather.
Austin Hoffman posted a warning of the legal ramifications this group is promoting shooting down a plane. Then came the laugh emojis by these nuts.
Looking at some of this stuff, these politicians remind me of a Roger Miller song title… the name escapes me at the moment. 😉
At least they’re good for a cheap laugh (mainly because they do this for free).
Dang!!
Another embarrassment which reflects horribly on Aberdeen. Thanks dimwit legislators!
Are the leaders mentioned high school honor grads or those who barely made it? Are they college grads, non grads? We need to know the what credentials these so- called leaders possess because they are decision makers for the state! That is frightening!
No worse than the current insane current White House administration.
If you will believe this, you will believe anything. Maybe that’s kinda the point: it’s a billboard for rubes and helps con artists identify their marks.
Yep. I told a reporter who had called about the group that I suspect that it was set up mainly for the hard right to mine e-mail addresses.
Which allows them to just keep feeding people nonsense. You gotta admit: once they get their claws into people, they are incredibly effective at isolating them and making them more easily manipulated.
I have a perfect gif for this. Please make gifs an allowable comment.
Representatives Brandei Schaefbauer, Logan Manhart along with the The BigFoot Field Researchers Organization and award winning investigative journalist Shad Olson will soon reveal the next threat that needs action with increased BigFoot sightings in NE South Dakota. The site needs to be updated https://www.bfro.net/GDB/state_listing.asp?state=sd
What are the undisputed facts about the bigfoot / sasquatch mystery?
It’s a fact that for more than 400 years people have reported seeing large, hair-covered, man-like animals in the wilderness areas of North America.
It is a fact that sightings of these animals continue today. Real or not, these reports are often made by people of unimpeachable character.
It is a fact that, for over seventy years, people have been finding, photographing, and casting sets of very large human-shaped tracks. Most are discovered by chance in remote areas. These tracks continue to be found to this day.
It is a fact that the cultural histories of many Native American and First Nation peoples include stories and beliefs about non-human “peoples” of the wild. Many of these descriptions bear a striking resemblance to the hairy man-like creatures reported today.
These are some of the facts. There is, however, much disagreement as to what these facts mean.
To many, these facts, taken together, suggest the presence of an animal, probably a primate, that exists today in very low population densities. If true, this species, having likely evolved alongside humans, became astonishingly adept at avoiding human contact through a process of natural selection.
To others, these same facts point to a cultural phenomenon kept alive today through a combination of the misidentification of known animals, wishful thinking, and the deliberate fabrication of evidence.
The BFRO, and its members, take the former view.
If you think about the trillions of cubic feet of air in the atmosphere and the few thousand gallons of liquid a plane could hold, or dozens of plans for that matter, the infinitesimal chance of any “poisonous” droplets reaching the earth unscathed by solar irradiation and the jet stream are in the mentally unstable realm of epic proportions. Very similar to the wildly advertised “dangerous” CO2 pipeline in South Dakota.
I joined the group not because I belive but I enjoy reading there shit and bantering with members. I’m sure at some point I will get kicked off of the group and the Grassland Conservatives page.
Yeah you’re definitely getting the boot. Because you are “establishment “ and represent the government. What’s the first rule of the group? Never trust the government. Unless you want to enlist the use of government planes to shoot down civilian airliners or other government planes. Have fun but don’t let any of that crazy get on you. It’s apparently hard to get off.
The Democrats have been criticized for not calling the Tesla firebombings domestic terrorism. How is advocating for planes to be shot out of the sky not advocating for domestic terrorism? This has got to be the most stupid idea I’ve heard in a long time.
This is what happens when you push things too hard to the right. Just like on the left. Horseshoe theory. The farthest ends get closer. I’ve been able to tell the difference between what is crazy left and crazy right for awhile now. But you yourself have been involved in your fair share of pushing hard in this direction. This is the inevitable outcome. Share in the responsibility for emboldening idiots.
*haven’t been able to tell the difference *
