House Ethics Committee releases Gaetz report. Probably best he stepped back from being AG.

The US House Ethics Committee has released the report of their investigation into the conduct of Congressman Matt Gaetz. And let’s just say that his stepping back from being Attorney General was probably a good thing:

The House Ethics Committee found “substantial evidence” former Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., participated in “prostitution, statutory rape, illicit drug use” and obstruction of Congress in a long-awaited report on alleged misconduct by President-elect Donald Trump’s original choice for the next U.S. attorney general, according to multiple reports.

“The record overwhelmingly suggests that Representative Gaetz had sex with multiple women” at a 2017 Florida party, “including the then-17-year-old, for which they were paid,” the committee found, according to CNN and CBS News.

Now, if they can only get Robert Kennedy Jr. out of contention for being a crackpot.

  1. Let us not forget or gloss over the fact that Gaetz was the president-elect’s FIRST CHOICE for the highest law enforcement office in America. Any reasonable person would have to seriously question the president-elect’s judgement and/or mental capacity.

      1. Believe it or not, there are those that are critical of both. They’re generally called reasonable people.

          1. Why don’t you look at most of Trump’s cabinet and just about everyone he gets into bed with? All criminals and plenty of felons.

    1. Trump and Gaetz certainly share a predilection for the “companionship” of a wide variety of young women, which at times has included the transfer of money and the signing of non-disclosure agreements. Birds of a feather like to flock together, as the old saying goes. Sad!

      1. And the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree when it comes to swindling money and pay for play schemes putting national security at risk, you know stumbles and crack head…even sadder!

              1. Woo Hoo!! A grand total of 4 that you can list. And of those 4, one served 4 months for contempt of congress and failing to produce documents. Hmmm, too bad the dems don’t have the same standard when it comes to themselves, remember Earache Holder? One was found not guilty on all counts. Guess you missed that didn’t you genius? But doesn’t surprise me when it’s a liberal trying to make a point. And one named in a civil lawsuit, not a criminal case AS YOU CLAIMED. So of the whopping 4 that you gave only 1 actually had a criminal case that actually stuck. Wow! If you have the typical liberal mind, no wonder you folks got your asses handed to you last November. GO TRUMP!

                1. Bannon, Navarro, Cohen, Manafort, Stone, Gates, Papadopoulos, Weisselberg…..should I keep going?

            1. Well, good thing Matt gaetz isn’t a gun owner because he is a coke head. Oh wait, he is a gun owner.

  2. Q: How many times will these ignoramuses get sued before they stop trying to leverage the globalist sex-ops? A: as long as people continue to disregard that young people are split from their families, administered drugs, and pushed into these outcomes intentionally as some sort of ill-designed mud test.

    1. John, your comment is a deranged jumble of conspiracy-laden nonsense that does nothing but showcase your intellectual and moral bankruptcy. “Globalist sex-ops”? Really? That’s not just incoherent it’s a thinly veiled antisemitic dog whistle, the kind of garbage that makes it clear you’ve traded critical thinking for the comfort of internet echo chambers. You’re not clever, John; you’re just another crank parroting tired buzzwords to deflect from the actual issue at hand.

Let’s be clear: the House Ethics Committee presented substantial evidence of Matt Gaetz’s involvement in statutory rape, prostitution, and obstruction of Congress. Instead of grappling with those damning facts, you launch into some fever-dream narrative about young people being “split from their families, administered drugs, and pushed into these outcomes.” Not only is that completely irrelevant, but it’s also a grotesque moral deflection. It reeks of someone so desperate to muddy the waters that they’ll say anything, no matter how absurd or baseless.

And what the hell is a “mud test”? Is that your idea of sounding profound? It’s gibberish, John. This isn’t some grand conspiracy designed to take down your heroes—it’s the consequence of Gaetz’s own vile actions. Your attempt to frame this as anything other than a predator being held accountable is pathetic. You’re not defending the truth; you’re enabling corruption and exploitation.

Frankly, your comment is as reprehensible as it is ridiculous. Stop trying to gaslight the conversation with your unhinged fantasies and take a long, hard look at why you feel the need to defend the indefensible. It’s not a good look, John.

  3. And Trump knew this when he put gaetz up for the position. It’s a good thing epstein isn’t alive or he would probably be in charge of the dept of interior to help all those missing native woman.

  4. The ethics probe and report was LEAKED, and relies on the testimony of witnesses even Biden’s corrupt DOJ found to be not credible.
You’ve got to be a special kind of stupid to think the FBI and AG Garland would have let one of their fiercest critics off the hook had they had any real evidence against him. Indeed the DWC is that special kind of stupid.

    1. All those payments to young women. All that drug use. Yeah, it all sounds like it is something good people do.

  5. Exactly!

The person who accused him of statutory rape is in jail for making the same false claim against other people.

Leftists use innuendo and propaganda to smear and influence public opinion against their enemies.

They present lies and / or snippets of information taken out of context, completely disregarding exculpatory information, in order to ruin them without Due Process.

    1. This is just a load of nonsense. Not surprising that we have these kinds of deluded yahoos in this state.

It’s saddening these idiots will die on a hill defending veritable perverts like Koskan and Gaetz, making up all sorts of hoops to justify themselves.

  6. Would not be surprised if sleezy Matt Gaetz ends up being a lobbyist in Washington for the Marijuana industry.

  7. Matt’s buddy is currently serving 11 years for sex trafficking but Matt didn’t participate. He just slept with them and paid them.

  8. I think Gaetz is a scumbag and am glad he is not going to be in our Attorney General or in Congress.

But, he has been tried in the court of public opinion, not in a court where had a chance to defend him, there are standards for evidence and testimony, or a jury to weigh all evidence. Does not this offend anyone’s sense of Justice and Constitutional Principles of Civil Liberties and Protections?

Further, are we not better if we can get people like Gaetz to just go away instead of having a spectacle and they stay in office. Now that they will face the negative in the court of opinion whether they stay or go but by going they lose their opportunity to defend themselves or give their side.

This is a horrid precedent we will long regret.
