I had forgotten about this slogan. This completely and utterly overused campaign slogan.

Remember a few weeks ago when I was amused that the Hansen/Lems campaign switched out one clichéd slogan for a new cliché to use as their slogan?

Which they appeared to find at hobby lobby?

I just had someone asking me for a political pin which I was digging for, and I came across this from one of the least memorable campaigns in state history, the official Mark Mowry for US Senate 2022 bumper sticker:

I don’t seem to recall that he did very well in that primary election.  (Probably because he too was getting his slogan from Hobby Lobby).

  1. Curious what their politically extreme fringe fellow competitor’s slogan will be in the race to the bottom. Toby Angry. Toby Smash!

  2. That slogan tells the voters “this candidate is obsessed with social issues” and is not interested in things like jobs, taxes, or crime.
You can ask yourself what immediately comes to mind when you see a candidate claiming to be focused on “faith, family & freedom” and you will realize that’s why the candidates who use it don’t win elections.

    It’s the economy, stupid.

  3. I like Grey Zabel’s version better: Family, Farming, Football. Maybe these Mutts can learn something from a 23 year old first rounder.

    1. Christianity has nothing to do with this. Campaign slogans tell the voters what is important to the candidates. Their own faith (might be different from yours) their own families (where does yours fit into that vision?) and freedom (from what? We need more information about that last one, too.)

Gallup reported the issues most important to voters, and the economy was at the top of the list. Then there were issues like taxation, education, healthcare, immigration, security. These are what constitute the “kitchen table issues:”

This hackneyed slogan of “faith family freedom” does not win because it doesn’t address the concerns of the voters.

    1. so it plays well with the Family Heritage Alliance and nobody else.
Kristi’s 2018 slogan was “Tested, Proven, Conservative” and her campaign materials focused on jobs, taxes and education.
She didn’t try to win on Faith, Family, Freedom.
