If you’re not in the club, you might be a leaker!

Certain House and Senate legislators are being carved up and divided along not party lines, but on whether they’re in the right legislative clique. Because if they aren’t – when it comes to communicating with state leaders – they might be a dirty leaker!

Rep. Aaron Aylward, who spearheaded the letter-writing campaign, told The Dakota Scout the group felt an urgency to send the correspondence due to escalating geopolitical tensions around the globe — particularly wars involving Ukraine and Russia and Israel and Hamas.

and…

Aylward told The Scout only 55 lawmakers were asked to sign onto the letters due to fears of “leaks.”

Read that here.

A letter to our US Senator on policy which is apparently too secret to talk to all legislators about? ‘Due to fear of leaks?”

We live in interesting times. And paranoid times.

  1. Must need exacting credentials to get in their club. Like the propensity to take walks on tough votes. Aylward, Howard, Mullaly……If I continue I will complete the list of signers.

  2. List of signers please. This session hasn’t even started and already it’s an embarrassment. South Dakota is certainly going to make some headlines this year.

  3. “Fear of Leaks?”

Is this Aylward in middle school? They put their names on a letter and send it to the congressional delegation so now it’s public. They only do it to get attention. Wouldn’t they want leaks? Or were they afraid somebody would tell Thune “Hey, I heard a rumor somebody’s going to send you a letter. Watch out.”

  5. State legislators holding US Senators accountable is exactly what the founding fathers intended when they made selection of US Senators the exclusive power of State Legislatures.

  6. Why are they scared of people knowing!? We are the voters, we are YOUR BOSSES. The deep state is strong in these legislators.
